Answer:	The new 2016 version does not come with a carrying bag but does have a newly designed screw top that greatly improves the air-tight and hot/cold insulation.

I think steel wool might get them off, or hide it with a label over the top.This ugly lettering on the side is the only drawback to an otherwise excellent thermos. It even fits in the cup holder of my Toyota Tacoma. Very nice thermos!
