Question:	How does the rocket stick vac work on hardwood and for dusting
Answer:	Seems to work well with both the wheel equipped motorized head at low spin speed and the hardwood floor pad attachment tool. Pad can quickly get pretty dirty, requiring washing.

Answer:	Monika, Yes you can definitely use it as a short handheld vacuum! It is modular in design. Just the power sweeper, the extension pipe, and the power head/canister. Just plug the power head/canister directly into the power sweeper and you are good to go! By the way...after you unpack all the components from the shipping carton, it takes about 5 minutes to put together and you are ready to vacuum. I am physically challenged and I use the vacuum the way I described and I can vacuum my carpets from a motorized chair with no problem. I did contact Shark and made a suggestion to make a shorter extension to go between the power sweeper head and the power head/canister to make it easier to vacuum from a seated position. I hope this answers your question. I certainly like mine!

Answer:	The Windsor s12 does not have an automatic height adjustment. It is a manual adjustment that is made by turning the knob on the right side of the vacuum head. The XP12 does automatically adjust the brush height.

Answer:	The filter is located next to bag. Please follow the instruction book: To remove the exhaust filter push the catch (33) backward and remove the filter cover (34) and filter. Insert the new filter and replace the filter cove.

Answer:	check the vacuum valve (the on / off lever valve) on the threaded port that goes to the vacuum line you would use to pump down an AC system - if its in the closed position, there will be no vacuum at the threaded port and the pump will pump down the internal chamber of the pump and hold vacuum after being shut off. Same thing will happen when you pull a vacuum on a system through the threaded port, with the valve open to pull vacuum to the port, and shut off the pump if there are no leaks in the system. I may not understand your question, if both valve and the threaded port are "open" and the gauge is holding vacuum when turned off then I don't know why that would be, unless the gauge broke and is stuck on vacuum ... Does the pump pull suction on the threaded port when its on and running? then the gauge is broken I think ?
