| Answer: | I don't really know as I haven't tested it by adding specific weights. It isn't too big to really put too much weight in it. Most likely, the screws, drywall, or plaster would give before the basket does. It's pretty well made overall and could probably easily hold 25 lbs as a guess. Again, the screws and other mounting options will really dictate the strength. If it's well braced, I'd imagine it would help (even adding a little bracket to the bottom would probably help). Throw away the plastic drywall anchors and either get the large metal ones or to screw it in directly to wood. |
