If they only send you one, you can just contact them and I'm sure they'll straighten it out. Just make sure your order is being fulfilled by Amazon and not some other company. An easy fix was to loop it where it 'fit my hand' comfortably, and then put a couple of 1-1/4 inch black plastic slides (just make a tiny cut in the middle bar to feed the strap through) on the inside of the loop ends. They are available from a several different vendors. Works great.. they look streamlined, are super strong, and the strap is now short and snug. You'd never know they weren't original with the bag.

The box was really easy to make just small scrap wood. They sell simple wood boxes on here it you are not handy.
