Answer:	I purchased this for my little grandson when he was about 3 and also very obsessed with vacuums. This toy is nice because it has a switch that will allow smaller children to watch the colored balls to swirl around. When they get big enough to actually use it, it actually will pick up small Styrofoam balls. (Don't let them vacuum up dust and dirt - it will clog the machine - we tried it) I would suggest purchasing colored Styrofoam balls on Amazom for him to vacuum up. (The white ones are a bit too heavy and don't do as well as the colored balls.) You will only need one package - they go a long way!

Answer:	Yes they work great in the microwave. They seems to help steam the veggies. Haven't really used them in the freezer too much but I dont see why there would be an issue.

Answer:	should hold 12 per shelf, 6 shelves per side and four sides gives you 288 dvd's

Answer:	Sorry are you talking about the plastic shelf supports. If so they fit very tight in the holes I used a pair of needle nose pliers to hold them gently and a very small tack hammer to gently tap them in. Hope this helps.

Answer:	They are not. I bought these under the impression the lids were microwave safe. The first time in the microwave (lids not latched, just resting on top) they warped under the heat of the food inside the container.
