The actually height for one 6-qt. container is with lid is 8". The base width is 7 1/2". The top measured across from edge to edge without the lid or handles measured in. Is 8 7/8". With the lid and handles measured in. You are looking at a total of 10". I also have the 1 qt. size which measure with lid at 5" tall, with a base measurement of 4-1/4" and the top without the lid at 5". With the lid on it measure 5" across the opening. With the lid on and handles taken into the measurement it measure 6-1/8" Max space needed for including the handles. Hope this helps
