Answer:	There is space for two towels. The lower one extends about 1 3/4 inch from the door. I've had mine about 3 months. It's very sturdy and have had no problems.

Answer:	Just a suggestion to the beveled/ Round edged cabinets. Put a piece of flexible rubber weatherstripping to tighten up the gap and slack needed to keep rack sturdy. Just small enough behind the metal, and the inside of the cabinet door it won't be noticed, and you can still use the rack. Space is so precious these days. It will function fine. We call it shimming. Need to get creative these days. I have the extra hanging shelf inside my cabinet door for extra sponges, cleansers, scrubbers, small bottle of soap. Every inch counts for counter space. Had to Shim mine to keep it from sliding around.
