I called Scosche and they are aware of but unable to resolve this issue. The folks at OTF cannot definitively say why the devise won't work, especially as it is the EXACT one they brand as OTB Flex and sell at their franchises. Answer:	I don't have any experience with this tape under water but it works fine within a shower confinement for brief times. I think it would depend on several factors to give a better answer. Answer:	It won't compress. The foam body of the tape is slightly resilient, but sandwiched between 2 layers of glazing the force required to compress it would be greater than the glazing surface could withstand. Just go with the 1/16" thick tape.

Answer:	I use this tape all the time. Only the first 6 inches or so have a protective film. Once you remove it, it’s just the double side tape. It’s a little tricky to remove the protective film but it gets easier w practice.

However, he just brought it in from the garage (pretty cold) and I cut several pieces. Very easy to cut with scissors and no sticky mess left on scissors. Answer:	If you use approximately a 2" x 2" piece. Or attempt to cover the bottom of the suction cup as much as possible, that should work OK as long as your phone and holder wheigh less than a pound. What they failed to tell you in the description is that this requires a 1 inch piece of tape for every quarter pound. So you would need 4 inches of tape for 1 pound. You can't fit 4 inches of tape in the area you were trying to adhere, it's not going to work.
