Answer: Yes it will. You have to try on both sides of the plastic rack to see which holds better.

Answer: No. Made like my bathmat, it's very good. I have a pest control issue and cannot afford to have a wet counter. Everything dries fast but then again I don't put a sink full of dishes on it
