Answer:	I don't think it is American. Mine rusted out within 6 months.

Answer:	Doesn't come apart. You just have to pull the old filters out, then use a brush to get the lid clean before stuffing in and smoothing new filters. Filters last a long time, in my experience. Love my Off!

Answer:	Don't waste the effort. Just use a different container, like a paper milk carton.

Question:	Where is this made
Answer:	I'm a 12-13 US depending on the maker of the shoe. My best advice is to take your shoe to a store that sells the SOLE insole and see which size fits best. I tried trimming and then heating a pair of the insoles (according to manufacturer instructions) and, not only was this far inferior to the three pair I already use, I was unable to get compensated for the soles I heated. They curled up and deformed after I put them in my shoes.

Answer:	Hi Casey - Wendy from Tall Ridge here - Thank you for your inquiry! If possible, yes. Leaving them in may interfere with the effectiveness of your new SOLE Custom Footbeds. If the factory insoles are not removable you can still use SOLE Custom Footbeds, but you may need to use a low-volume model. I hope that is helpful!

Question:	If I buy two boxes will the second box be useable after I have used the first box of 40. I may dump more than once a week
Answer:	Yes, as long as you don't get the second box at all wet. If you do, the bags will start to break down. This is the intended design and is what makes them compostable.
Question:	These bags are .025 mil, while Biobags and other brands are .65 mil (26 times thicker). Are the Oggi bags more fragile than other brands
Answer:	Yes they are, at least in my experience. However, one year later the biobags are still not completely composted while the Eco-liners have disappeared very shortly after going into my compost pile. I carry my compost bucket with kitchen scraps out to the pile and dump the liner and everything into the compost heap. This leaves my bucket much cleaner. I could carry just the Biobag with the scraps in it to the compost pile and it would not break. It is easy enough to carry the bucket, Eco-liner and scraps to the composter and I don't have to worry about seeing the bags every time I turn the compost heap. I live where it is dry and cold (about 9000 ft central CO) and that makes a difference in composting time.
Question:	Do they really break sown to fast, or do they break down at all, and is there any chemical residue when they do break down
Answer:	I've found that they leak really easily within my compost pail in the house, and are very slow to break down in my compost pile. Granted, I've only been using them for 3 months, but when I got to stir my compost pile in the garden, they seem to be pretty much intact.
Question:	Are they actually biodegradable or just compostable
Answer:	I believe they are supposed to be biodegradable - and not just break down into little plastic bits. (My compost pile is still under the snow so I cannot confirm that they have actually done so). This was a major selling point, but as I said in my review, they are far too small to be used in a standard sized compost bin.

Question:	Are these easy to open
Answer:	They could certainly stand up to the stress. I used a single pair for over 780 miles of running last year, and they still wear like new. I bought this thinner pair recently for a different style shoe. However, I don't think tennis is a game typically played with inserts. But I am neither and tennis pro nor a doctor. Good luck.

Answer:

I wear a 11.5 to 12 in mens, this puts me right to the 12M 14W category identified on most sole foot beds. I would say for general to heavy use go sole softech as these would have better longevity over the "performance" model as those usually have the cork foot bed. as far as the thickness goes, it will all depend on what shoe your putting it in. IE if your looking for your running, exercise or light weight shoes of most types you would get the Thin version, the medium thickness beds are going to be good for your heavier shoes and out door type sneakers or light weight hiking boots. and finally the thick beds are going to be for work boots or heavy outdoor boots, but depending on your preference the thick sole's do well in hiking boots as well. I have all 3 versions of thickness and will swap them depending on what I am doing in that shoe for the day, I also have severely flat feet causing plantar fasciitis and tarsal tunnel syndrome and I have seen a drastic improvement in my feet since I started using these per my doctors recommendation of an "over the counter temporary fix". hope this helps.

Answer:	I just received mine and they do run about 1/2" longer than the previous versions. I am a women's size 8.5 and I ordered the M7/W9 and will cut them to size. I fear the women's 7.5 to 8 will be too short for my shoes. I would recommend, if you are a half size, to order a half size up and trim them to size. These are great, by the way, if you have flat feet and suffer from plantar fasciitis. I put them in all my walking and hiking shoes and can walk for miles without any pain.

Answer:	I found them to be fairly rigid. I am about 175 lbs and they offer nice support for my high arches. If you were to put all your weight right on the arch portion I could see them flexing, but if you wear them the way they are intended it should give you support.

Answer:	I think they're the same insole. This is just the older version and Active Thick is the new version. These are great insoles. I've been using them for years in my running shoes.
