Answer:	It's one big waffle that has baked perforations you can pull apart into 4 smaller waffles, if you have kids with small appetites or a dieter. That is why I bought it and because it is the model a lot of hotels use in their complimentary breakfast room. Very durable. I also like the drop pan for spills. It makes a perfect no mess waffle as long as you use the cup that comes with it and quick guide and follow the directions on the waffle batter mix you use and do not over whip/mix. Answer:	The waffle section diameter is 6 1/4 inches edge to edge (not counting the gutter).

Answer:	I don't know. Red light comes on while preheating. Blue light comes on when it has reached temp to cook. I'd let it reheat for a little longer before I start cooking. Blue light goes off. Blue light comes back on when waffle is done to your set setting. Hope this helped. I like my waffles crisp so I have mine set on almost 7. Play with what number you want it to be at. Thicker waffle batter turns out better than thin batter.

Answer:	Thicker than the frozen kind. I use a waffle mix and add milk instead of water too.

Answer:	I cannot be sure what the machine does - it does have the indicator light which functions but I have never relied on those on any waffle iron I have had. I always watch the steam and when it stops I know the waffle is done. I have not been sorry I bought this style and it makes delicious waffles everytime.

Answer:	No, it really doesn't. I have a cheap waffle maker that doesn't flip and it cooks perfectly on both sides. I had this flip waffle maker at one time and the handle connections broke while trying to wash it. It maybe had a dozen uses before breaking.
