Answer:	Cuisinart waffle maker makes a much thinner, crisper waffle. The total thickness of the waffle is about a half an inch after cooking. If you want crisp waffles, make the batter a little thinner than usual. I haven't tried to toast bread in it, but it is wonderful for making cookies on hot summer day. Spray or oil waffle maker. Spoon one normal-sized lump of cookie dough in the center of each of the four squares. Press lid down and cook for 1 minute, until lightly browned. If you are using nuts in the recipe, press lid down firmly and cook for 1 minute, 15 seconds. Fold a paper towel in half several times to make a pad, and use a fork to lift the cookie onto the pad, then onto a cooling rack. It works for most kinds of drop cookies.

Answer:	If, by batch, you mean one waffle, one waffle can be cooked in 3-5 minutes (after the iron has heated up) depending on how well done you prefer your waffles. If, by batch, you mean the entire batch of batter cooked into waffles, that would depend on the size of batter created. A good estimate may be to give yourself yourself about 5 minutes per waffle. Your batter recipe should give you the yield.

Answer:	We do not recommend you use these directly onto an oven rack. The reason is that the rack-metal gets very hot, beyond the heat resistance of 450 degrees. This can lead to staining, and in some cases smoking, so we recommend you only use these on a Baking Tray/Sheet.

Answer:	Yes, it does have adjusting temperature. It also has a rocker switch that you can switch between crispy outside or crispy all the way through. No on the gluten free waffles.

Answer:	Plenty deep. I consider them to be the standard "old school" type waffles like my dad used to make in the 70's. Great size, consistency and texture. You can't go wrong here.

Answer:	Seller, please respond re temperature. The site says they're good to 500 F. If oil was used, that could be the issue; these are not-stick so no butter or oil is needed. Another possibility would be that the oven calibration is off. A couple of oven thermometers can confirm this.
