Answer:	I am looking for a new machine, ours just burned out on us Friday night - after it did its chore for us and the grand kids (7 and 9). We have always used about 1/4 cup of oil (redenbacker popcorn oil if we can find it - or - Veggie oil mixed with some butter). About 1/2 cup of Redenbacker or another cauliflower (premium carnival and movie theater popping corn) popcorn. We DO NOT use the butter cap on the top of the vent. Let it vent out the moisture and stuff. Don't clog up those vent holes with butter. We use the microwave to melt and pour on additional butter. I have never - since I first started using this popper in the 80's -- never had soggy or moist popcorn. I was in the service - my job entailed working in a room with no windows and 13 or 15 of us at a time. We popped using this tool for 1/2 of my 20 years. Thru 2 wars/actions - and a couple times per 12 hour shift. Fast and easy and easy clean up. Since the 80's ... this is my second machine - getting ready for my third. Tips to getting your popcorn just right:

Answer:	The one Inought is stainless steel. Using it on a ceramic stove top would be no different than using any other stainless cook wear. We love ours and it makes great popcorn.

Answer:	Glad you ask! I threw mine in the trash after the second day! Now I have owned one of these for years that does a spectacular job. Don’t know who makes it I recently bought a second home and bought this thinking all popcorn poppers are created equal. No matter what I tried ,(I thought maybe it wasn’t made for Orville Redenbocker popcorn ) It threw the seeds everywhere when the kernels popped. What I had to do was put a towel over the front to hold the popcorn in to try to keep it from expelling the unpopped seeds. This helped but what I ended up having to do was use two bowls and when it was done popping take all the popped corn out of one bowl put it in another, then pour all the un-popped seeds back into the popper and repeat this three times. After that it will shut itself down for overheating. Then get a broom and sweep up all the kernels and corn that got away. I experimented with several methods and gave up and tossed it in the trash. I live very remote and returning things is a pain I can’t believe this company put there name on something that doesn’t work! I have since seen this same popper with different names on it. I ended up buying a microwave popcorn bowl. It gets me by. Good luck! I hope you have better luck than I had.

Answer:	I would say maybe it is broken. I honestly purchased this and only used it a couple times as it was not thorough in removing the water from the lettuce leaves.

Answer:	It seemed I could have been pulling for longer than 10 minutes. Now I just rip the lettuce leaves apart, put a paper towel over one layer and do this 2-3 more times in a big tupperware bowl and let it sit overnight in the fridge.

Answer:	The butter tray (clear plastic) contains the only Recycle symbol on this popper. the red body, and chute (for lack of a better term) don't have a code on them. Anyway, the tray has a recycle symbol with "PC" in the middle, which from some minor research tells me that this is a Code 7 plastic. From that I wanted to cite something I saw on a Dr's page about BPA... so buy at your own risk. OR call HB and ask them directly. "Manufacturers are creating more and more BPA-free products. Look for products labeled as BPA-free. If a product isn't labeled, keep in mind that some, but not all, plastics marked with recycle codes 3 or 7 may be made with BPA."

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over low heat and add salt. Pour the hot mixture into the popcorn bowl and gently shake it. Enjoy!
