Answer:	I would not recommend it for slicing bread . Buy a bread slicer or a bread knife. It is a commercial grade meat slicer. It is great for deli meats. or even if you want to make jerky , just make sure your raw meat is partly frozen or very chilled.

Let It Do Its Thing

Don't force it! People often make the mistake of pushing the food carriage across the blade too forcefully. It should glide right through. When you force the slicer, you wear down the motor, and slow the blade. If you go with the flow, your slicer could last you a lifetime.

Keep the Food Cold

Cold is better. Fully frozen isn't good for any meat slicer. The ice crystals are too hard, and they will dull your blade and overwork the motor. But really cold and/or somewhat frozen is perfect. We recommend placing meats into the freezer for 30 minutes before slicing. Fish can be more frozen.

Create a Flat Surface

Cut item in half before slicing to create a flat surface. Face the surface against the blade. This will make a world of difference. If you start with an oddly shaped end, you'll get off to a bad start and have a tough time slicing uniform pieces.

You can pick one up of these vintage sharpeners on ebay for about $5-$10 (Or less in auction). This will get you many sharpenings. A new blade wheel is about $35. Pick up a cheap sharpener on ebay and slice on!

Answer:	It seems very sturdy, whether it will hold up to that quantity of meat I am not sure. I am very pleased with it for the purpose I use it for, which is slicing lunch meats.

Answer:	You can make a 7 inch slice. I make venision chip steak with it and it slices very nice.

Answer:	I haven't used it on frozen meat yet, but I can imagine after using it on refrigerated meat, it will work well on frozen meat also. You will have to go a little slower and not let it bog down, but I am planning on freezing my sirloin tip roasts before I cut next time to get a more consistent cut for making jerky. I am going to let it thaw a bit first before attempting it.

Answer:	It is plastic, but it is amazing. We had a slicer that was around $100 (don't remember the brand) and almost every time the meat touched the blade, the gear would skip and it was a huge hassle to use. Now we have this model and it is amazing. It literally cuts as fast as you can slide the meat through. I love it!

Answer:	The carriage that allows you to feed an item into the slicer pulls out to about a distance of 10 inches between its handle and the surface of the blade. So you could cut something 10 inches in diameter for a 10 inch slice. You could potentially make a longer slice, but then you would have to feed the item in by hand and need to watch your fingers...
Question:	Are blade & the chopping plate (the round thing with the little holes that the meat comes out of) STAINLESS STEEL also? I'm looking for a 100% unit
Answer:	The 615 is very easy to break down for cleaning. Lol, I have 5 thumbs when it comes to mechanical engineering, and even I have no problems. It's not a complicated piece of equipment. I think it's one of the best designed slicers out there. Especially for the money.

Question:	While looking at the pictures I noticed that it does not have a standard US plug, do you have a model that comes with the standard wall outlet plug
Answer:	It opens to a hair more than 1-1/4". If that is too narrow for your countertop, you can do what I do. I clamp it onto a piece of 3/4" plywood. I lay a towel under the plywood, between it and the countertops and use speed clamps to secure the plywood to the counter tops. If you have decent countertops, you will not likely want to secure this directly to them anyways because it may scratch them.
Question:	How do you remove the blade?...The screws are extremely tight, I dont want to strip them
Answer:	The body must be a very low-grade of stainless steel, it shows small amounts of rust if I let it air-dry after washing. The cutting blade will start to show rust almost instantly post-wash. The die plates seem pretty resistant. hand wash, hand-dry, hit with some oil to prevent rust.
Question:	Will it slice raw meat at room temperature for jerky
Answer:	Despite the description, the plates and knife are not stainless. Mine immediately began rusting after I washed them and didn't hand dry them. Bizarre because on LEM's website, they only sell stainless steel plates and knifes replacements.

Answer:	Yes it will. But dont get to excited about this product. Made in China. Ridiculous to clean. No sharpener for the blade. Not very consistent cutting. Spend a little more money.

Answer:	A little WD40 first and a snug fitting large screw driver. After once removed the screws come out easily.

Answer:	We do a lot of beef jerky. It does slice it raw, but not great. However, it works phenomenally when it's partially frozen.
Question:	Is it quality made
Answer:	This slicer would probably slice small pieces of frozen meat such as narrow sausage rolls. I mainly use it to slice jerky meat, which I partially thaw before slicing. Two items should be noted about this slicer: (1) the blade must be removed for proper cleaning and (2) the instructions were not written by someone knowledgeable in English.
