Question:	What is the maximum thickness it can cut
Answer:	A little WD40 first and a snug fitting large screw driver. After once removed the screws come out easily.

Answer:	We do a lot of beef jerky. It does slice it raw, but not great. However, it works phenomenally when it's partially frozen.
Question:	Is it quality made
Answer:	This slicer would probably slice small pieces of frozen meat such as narrow sausage rolls. I mainly use it to slice jerky meat, which I partially thaw before slicing. Two items should be noted about this slicer: (1) the blade must be removed for proper cleaning and (2) the instructions were not written by someone knowledgeable in English.

Question:	Will it slice cured harder meats like salami or peperoni
Answer:	We have not had any problems slicing harder meats. However you like it from thin to thick, this slicer has been amazing! Meats, cheeses slice great.

Answer:	Yes we use it to slice meats for jerky. We like the thin cut capability vs the thick with some jerky. Also use for making cheese slices

Answer:	The blade is not serrated for bread. the max thickness is about 3/8". I would not recommend it for bread. It does a good job on cooked meats. I have cut firm cheese and for that it works best with a spray of Pam on the blade so it doesn't stick.

Answer:	I've never used it like that but I would guess that if the meat is only slightly frozen you wouldn't have a problem. Just be careful when you slide the meat through the slicer.

Answer:	I slice bread every day. It works great. You can adjust the thickness, have to put the protection part on the machine, your bread on to it, hold the 2 buttons down and lightly push the bread forward. It does very thin to thick slices with ease. Once you have the machine in front of you it nearly explains itself.

Answer:	I don't know where to get a sizing chart. But I'm 5'10" 155, 31" waist, and the large fits perfectly. I could even be a bit larger and it would still fit. I'm glad it's snug enough so that if I'm in an accident (like I was too months ago), it protects me and I don't slip out of it.

Answer:	It would be the perfect knife for brisket and tri-tip, that's what I use!
Question:	Will this work for prosciutto ham leg on a stand
Answer:	I have never tried that particular feat, I mainly use on briskets and roasts, but I think this would be an ideal knife for that work. Mine was good and sharp out of the box and a few strokes with a steel every hundred slices or so seems to be keeping it "fresh". It is a bit more flexible than I had expected so try not to twist (perpendicular to the slice) the cut as you slice. Highly recommended as with every (6) Mercer knives I have used.

Answer:	I bought this knife specifically for slicing brisket and it does a fantastic job. It is sharp enough and long enough that you can get nice thin slices without sawing back and forth.

Answer:	I would not recommend it for slicing bread . Buy a bread slicer or a bread knife. It is a commercial grade meat slicer. It is great for deli meats. or even if you want to make jerky , just make sure your raw meat is partly frozen or very chilled.

Useful Tips When Using the Frozen Meat Slicer

• 1. Do not try to slice meat with bones like chicken, fish, ribs. This can cause damage to your slicer.
• 2. Do not slice food with seeds. The seeds of some fruits such as peaches, avocados, apples, etc. can cause damage to the blade.
• 3. Do not slice fully thawed meat or fresh meat. The best texture is one which is almost frozen, which is an important point to achieve clean cut.

Looks like a knife handle with a dual set of wheels on the end. Just run the slicer and let the sharpener do its thing. You can pick one up of these vintage sharpeners on ebay for about $5-$10 (Or less in auction). This will get you many sharpenings. A new blade wheel is about $35. Pick up a cheap sharpener on ebay and slice on!
