Answer: They will be off by 1/8 ". Just by a jig to put new holes. It took me about half a day to mark new holes with the jig and install new hardware. The hardware is legit, compared to Home Depot this is a hell of a deal. My kitchen looks awesome. They are heavy and sturdy.

Answer: Ha, excellent question!! Yes, there is a small nub, but not adequate. I have 30 of these installed in my kitchen and the good news is that only the cabinets/pulls that I routinely use become loose and turn out of position:-) I have tightened the single set screw to the point of denting the wood from the knob side, they will still work their way loose. For me, even after a year of use, I like the simple lines of these pulls enough to offset the inconvenience of occasionally adjusting them. The only way around this problem is a circular knob that doesn't have a single required position (boring;-p). Cheers!
