Question:	Do the heating elements move to adjust for different bread thicknesses
Answer:	I agree that the slots are big enough for sliced bagels, not a whole bagel. The heating elements themselves do not move closer to the bread/bagels, there are so-called 'clamps' that once the bread is lowered into the toaster, it will close/lock in the bread, from both sides to hold the bread in the middle of the heating elements so that the bread does not lean to one side or the other. It then releases when toasting is complete and rises to the top. Personally I think this helps to toast evenly on both sides.

Answer:	The outside gets hot and the instructions say to keep it away from flammable objects. I got mine yesterday and am impressed with how evenly it toasts.

Answer:	This is late but no it does not toast evenly. Neither top to bottom, nor side to side, but it is still the coolest toaster available. I've had my 4 slice for a couple of years and would buy another if needed.

Answer:	Hi, the slots on my bit more measure 10" long by 1.5" wide. It's the four-slice model, as shown. We usually just use it for two slices cuz we like a larger wheat or long sour dough slice and this way you just have to dunk it once; no flipping to toast half the slice at a time.

Answer:	I had to check this morning. When using the toaster, the sides dont' stay completely cool. They get just slightly warm to the touch - definitely not hot.

Answer:	The BTA730XL Bit More™ Toaster will heat both sets of elements when the BAGEL button is pressed. However, the outside elements are only using enough power to assist in heating the bagel so it's very low. The inside elements, facing the cut sides of the bagel, are the ones that are on fully and do the toasting.

Question:	I need accurate overall measurements plus slot dimensions. how even is the toasting (with the lack of heating elements in the middle of each slot
Answer:	It utilizes a metallic wire as the heating element. There are reflective plates onto which the metallic wire is mounted with spacers. This toaster browns extremely evenly no matter what size bread you are toasting. If you will not be toasting over sized loafs of bread or pastries, I would suggest getting the smaller sized unit. The toast slots are a bit shorter but they are the same width to accommodate thick slices. The smaller unit is almost $100 cheaper as well. All in all, you will not be disappointed in the purchase of either size of this toaster. A great product that will also reward you with numerous compliments as well.

Answer:	I use ceramic, metal, glass, porcelain- all successfully. Holds an 11x14 pan for brownies and casseroles. Full 10" Fluted pie pan, 2 loaf pans when I make bread or meatloaf. Comes with the broiling pan which works GREAT. DO BUY the cutting board that sits on top. Adds usable kitchen counter space, a good cutting board, and you WILL burn yourself on the top of this fantastic oven without it. This is the best small appliance purchase I have bought, and I am very pleased to own the Breville Sous Chef food processor, and the Breville Samrt Grill. All 3 of these are best in class.
Question:	What are the inside demensions Very important that I know this . Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven
Answer:	The oven is 13.5" across, 11.5" front to back and 7.25" high, but only 6" from the top of the rack in its lowest position to the top of the oven. The oven will fit a 9x13 cake pan and a 13" pizza (the back of the oven is rounded out to accomodate a round pan). I recently roasted a 6 pound turkey breast in the oven and I probably couldn't have done one much larger.
Question:	PTFE or PFOA Free? This oven looks fantastic but I don't want stick-free; I want healthy. What's the best alternative
Answer:	I just called Breville and it is NOT PTFE or PFOA free I have a bird so I cannot have cookware or electrics that contain PTFE/PFOA it's hard to get answers, but Breville, Cusinart and Calapholon ALL have their toaster & toaster convection combo ovens contain a non-stick coating with PTFE/PFOA. I'm calling Oster next, but they are closed now for the night.PS: to get an accurate answer on this type of "chemical" technical question, you really have to get to the corporate level not the 800 CS to get the ACTUAL info, many CS's said they were "free" but no one could show me on their websites where that was in writing. That's when each of the above co's got corporate involved, then either I was connected or they returned my call, then gave me the above info.

Answer:	10"x10.5" is the largest pan for lasagna. it actually is the size pan that comes with the product. And yes, you can bake a cake and roast a chicken in this. I'm very happy with it. RE: lasagna. the size pan is typically smaller than what you would make lasagna in, but if you did it in batches (I don't think, very practical) it would work.
Question:	How many hinges does the door have
Answer:	I don't know of any toaster ovens that don't get fairly warm or hot on the top, especially when roasting or baking for an extended time. They suggest, as does all other manufacturers, a clearance of several inches away from walls. They make a bamboo "shelf" top for their other two ovens for use of storage, but I haven't seen one for this model.
Question:	How many wire racks are included
Answer:	I have had 3 Cuisinart TOB-40 ovens. The life span was disappointedly short. A three ovens failed in the same manner. The lower heating element warped and in two cases ruptured. Cuisinart warranted ovens # 1&2. I thought maybe they improved their product and yes for the price it was the best item out there. The third oven failed and I'm no longer a Cuisinart toaster oven customer. The ovens were only used the toast, melt cheese on toast and reheat a slice pizza or other small portions of leftovers.
