Question:	Is it easy to clean
Answer:	Yes it is very easy to clean. The reservoir alone with the heating element lifts out of the unit, that makes it a snape clean.

Answer:	The filter is a built in wire mesh type and doesn't need to be replaced as far as I can tell. The only part that may need to be replaced at some point is the rubber seal around it. Hope that helps. I've been using mine for a few months and absolutely love it. The best part of this fryer is the filter system and how you can drain your oil and store it in the plastic container until you need it again. It makes for cleaning and replacing the oil a breeze.

Answer:	Big Ron,I've used it 8x already and probably could maybe squeeze a couple more out. But, I think 8-10 is a good estimate depending on the type of foods your cooking. I've used it to cook meat, desserts, ect... in all the same cycle of oil.

Answer:	I found when I just use tapwater, that the bottom of the kettle was turning white from calcium deposits. I would suggest that you use either distilled water, or purified water and see if that makes a difference. First of all though you need to clean that black stuff off by boiling some vinegar with a little water in the kettle and then scraping it off with a scrubby.

Question:	Why would my fryer be leaking oil all over the counter from the bottom? Both during and while not in use
Answer:	I thought mine was leaking but it just needed cleaning. The basket was clogged with breading & waste from many uses so when I cooked the oil boiled. The bubbling oil seeped out of the back of the lid and ran down the back of the fryer onto the counter. I found the mess the next morning and blamed the fryer. Maybe your situation was different but in my case the "leak" was the result of my not cleaning often enough. You can let this thing go for several uses, but not forever :-)

Answer:	The fryer does not "rotate" inside the unit, however, the basket "lowers" into the basin by lifting the handle into an extended position, and it can be moved around easily by hand, or be held up over the hot oil by a catch hook on the basket/basin until you are ready to cook, or it can be removed altogether for cooking or cleaning. The inside of the fryer is Teflon coated, but it is permanently attached to the pan. It does clean up very easily, but you can not immerse the whole unit all the way into the water. The whole unit is very light, so this makes it remarkably easy to move and to clean.

I pour nearly the entire contents of a 64 oz bottle of oil until it is half-way between the "min" and "max" lines. Never go over the max line or you will experience a spill over during operation which is a dangerous situation. My oil of choice is Canola oil which has a higher burn temperature than vegetable oil. Of course you can use Canola, Vegetable or Peanut Oil.Question 2 - Is it good for people who want to diet?I am not a nutritionist, but it is hard for me to think that deep fried anything is good for you in excess whether you are on a diet or not. I am a calorie counter and thus I stop eating when I reach my limit and yet I do not avoid any foods, whether fried, fast foods or bags of chips. Yes, I do count out single servings of fries, chips. Answer:	Using a candy thermometer, mine goes beyond 400 degrees Fahrenheit and when I cook with it, it cooks the outside just fine but the inside stays raw. I was also using breaded chicken that had sat out to room temperature.

Answer:	To correctly answer the question - no. It requires 120vac @ 60hz. British supply is 230vac @ 50hz. Need to buy version made for the juice where it will be used; this appliance is made to work on a 15amp 120v breaker which is common is US households.

Answer:	There is a magnetic connection between the cord and the fryer. If you attempt to connect the cord upside down, the cord will fall out of the fryer socket. Note which side you are trying to put the plug into the fryer socket, if it falls out turn the plug over and plug in with the opposite side up. Also the cord can't have ANY TENSION on it. The cord needs to be able to be plugged in to the wall socket without any form of pulling on the cord connected to the fryer. If you can't do this then you need a appliance extension cord (a heavy duty since plug extension generally 3ft long with only 1 plug) Don't just buy any cheap extension cord or power strip as they aren't designed to handle the load of the fryer and can overheat and start a fire.

Question:	where to get extra oil filters for Secura 4.2L/17 cup
Answer:	The fryer does not come with any oil filters. I comes with one set of installed carbon filters and also one extra set so that when you have the lid on, all vapors pass through the carbon and really helps with any smell in the kitchen. I purchased the oil filter that Amazon usually shows that would be a good accessory for the fryer. It does let small particles pass through but so far they have not affected anything. The next time I see a restaurant supply store I think I will check out their filters. The one that Amazon recommends is certainly better than nothing and only costs around $10.

Answer:	Not that I remember. I have used a fryer before, so I would likely have tossed it if it did. Pretty simple operation. Fill with oil to max fill line, plug it in, turn heat to highest setting, turn timer on, allow to heat up, lower food into oil and put the lid on. Check food every few minutes to see if done.
