I'd assume it's the teeth from all fronts overlapping there and being the strongest point to cut plastic cards. If you have a titanium/metallic card, probably not.

Answer:	The Ativa product info says it is 7.56 inches deep, 15.35 inches high, and 13.78 inches wide. It works very well.

Question:	Does this one need gas regulator? My old one had a gas regulator connected to cook top
Answer:	You should be able to use the old regulator from Your old cooktop, just make sure you use pipe dope And that fittings are tight but not overly tight and Test for leaks. If you look on you tube for gas Stovetop installation it will give you step by step Directions. I was able to do it my self . Always be Careful when working with gas appliances. And No new stovetops do not come with the regulator

Answer:	I'm sure could do it either way but I just set it on the cooktop and put my pan on it and turn the heat on. You may need to use one setting higher on the cooktop heat at least until it gets hot.

Answer:	If your roasting pan is not magnetic Orin other words not induction stove top compatible then yes using the 9.25 stainless induction cook top ring will allow your roaster to work on the induction stove top! Remember that the 9.25 stainless steel ring is what is being heated by the induction stove top and thus heating your roaster! The stainless steel ring will be very hot to don't touch it with your bare hands!

This hob is more flexible than other ring hobs, The two heating zones can be used as a single big zone(for Bakeware), accordingly to the cooking needs anytime. And flexible area is made of two independent inductors that can also be controlled separately.

Boost Function

The power boost feature delivers additional power to a single cooking zone and the power will reach Max immediately.This kind of rapid intense heat is ideal for boiling water, stir frying food or searing meat.

Pan Sensor and Detection

Pan detector works when you take the pan off without turning off the power, When an unsuitable size or non-magnetic pan has been left on the hob,the hob automatically go on to standby in 1 minute. The fan will keep cooling down the induction hob for a further 1 minute.

Auto Shutdown Protection

Auto shut down is a safety protection function for your induction hob. It shut down automatically if ever you forget to turn off your cooking. The default working times are setted for various power levels.
