Answer:	Occasionally the edges will blacken, as mentioned in a previous response. However, the rest of the bun in my case never really seems to toastwell. I don't know where this was designed, but it must have been in a place on earth with mutant buns, cause as you suggested with respect to your machine, the bun slots are simply too small. So to prevent having to jam in the buns and getting them stuck, I slice about 1/2 inch off the top. It is however, a great little gadget if you want a quick over good hot dog. :-)

They will cook faster on high (5) but you have to watch they don't get dried out or slightly burned. You can use the back three rollers to keep cooked dogs warm, on a low setting (1-2). I LOVE my hot dog griller and we have used it many times for various events! It is worth every penny we paid for it!
