Answer:	NO! It is a "Blender" for blending already half cooked food (in liquid form) and will not 'Grind' hard nuts into flour. If you put the nuts in food with liquid in it, the Blender will certainly 'chop' the nuts but will not grind it. You can buy something like KRUPS grinder Model F203 from Amazon for $15 or less, and it does a VERY GOOD job for grinding nuts into power form.

Answer:	The BSB510XL Control Grip™ will work best on chopping those foods but it can blend them. The blades on it covered with a kind of hood so that the small food or ice pieces are kept under it and against the blades until smooth. The food pieces would need to be chopped very small to fit under that cover and the food items would need to be processed in small amounts as blending should not exceed 30 continuous seconds at a time.
Question:	Can a person with small arthritic hands easily work the blender
Answer:	I do not have arthritis, and I love this blender. I personally found the size of the previous inversion blender i had to be easier (cuisinart). Also, I agree that it's very difficult to detach the head for cleaning. It's not a problem for me but it always take a few seconds and extra effort. Overall I like this hand blender more but I'd recommend the other for someone with arthritis for sure, especially because they are similar in functionality.

Answer:	My last one fits in traditional wide mouth mason jars... this one does not. Highly disappointed. It’s extra work and dishes to blend in a wider container and transfer it

Still, we should all get aggravated a bit, waiting on the phone to let them know, we’ll pay a premium price for products , ALL PARTS of the product that are Made in the USA not China. Answer:	I'm also a newbie with this, but I tried using kale twice and I felt like I was chewing tiny pieces of kale with every sip. I don't have a chopper or anything so I cut it up the best I could but it was too much texture for me.

Answer:	yes, absolutely . The only tip i have is if it is having trouble blending take the blades off and shake the prod around a bit. if it is too full it creates a sort of vaccume other than that it works perfect with ice or frozen fruit.

Answer:	Yes the actual blades are stainless steal but they are permanately attached to the plastic piece that screws onto the sports bottle that blends.You can't take those blades apart like the traditional osterizer/oster blades.I don't recomend this unit if you intend to make baby-food because it leaves bigger pieces of veggies it doesn't produce a creamy smoothies.oh and this unit doesn't have an on/off switch.there is a slot in unit/motor portion that the plastic outer portion of the blades/cover activates the on/off action when you push down and simultaneously slightly turn the bottle while in unit.also the blade that comes with sports bottle is too small to be interchanged with the traditional oster full-size blender blades with separate base.Hope I was helpful

Answer:	If you scrape the metal bell which surrounds the blade it could damage a Teflon coating. If you're careful and avoid touching the Teflon while moving the blender around it's fine. For mashing potatoes Braun has made an attachment that fits a different model of blender which works well. The standard set up you see here works but nor great. The difference is that the potatoe mashing attachment has a much wider base, the blades are wider and it’s made so that the top of above the blades is flat and has holes where the potatoes are pressed through and out of the attachment. Answer:	The plastic just above the whisk/beater, has cracked on both of mine. Not the plastic that is inserted into the mixer, but the plastic that holds the whisk together. Very strange that they would plastic in a high stress area like that. After months, I have finally found that they can only be ordered through a company called Encompass. I like the mixer, but what a struggle to find anyone to help with a parts purchase.

Answer:	Would not fit in a regular mason jar, if the blade section is 3 inches wide. Answer:	No- Our typical drinks have Kale and/or spinach, celery, cucumber, lemon or lime, ginger, and sometime frozen berries. No matter what combo we try, no matter how much liquid we put in, it absolutely does not make a smooth liquid drink.

Answer:	I know this is an old question but hopefully it can help new customers- I’m sorry but I have to disagree with the only other person who answered this question ...I’ve had the Nutribullet 900 for 2 years now- I’ve never used ice- I freeze my bananas and use that as the “ice” for my smoothies - the bullet pulverizes kale and spinach with no problem- I put a clove of garlic in there cause I’m a health freak- kills it- my smoothies turn green and super smooth... I finally made the same smoothie with this Ninja 610- here’s what I’ll say.. the ninja sucked at making a green smoothie ( even with no ice!!) my smoothie was still white with a million little green particles floating around that I had to chew. Gonna keep it anyway because the bullet is too small to blend soups and sauces and this will do the trick and everyone needs a big blender in their kitchen...bottom line-this is good for bulk- but get the much smaller bullet if you want anything smooth in your smoothies - I have both so I’m spoiled 😜
