1 white onion, cut into quarters.

1 jalapeño pepper, halved (optional).

1. Place food chopper onto blender base, then add cilantro and pulse until desired texture is reached. Set blended ingredient aside in a mixing bowl.

2. Repeat for each of the other ingredients, adding to mixing bowl after blending.

1 onion, roughly chopped and 1 bulb garlic, peeled.

1 small clove fresh ginger and ½ teaspoon apple pie spice.

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil and ½ cup sugar and ½ teaspoon salt and fresh parsley.

1. Add onion, garlic, habanero pepper, pumpkin, and apple cider to Oster Pro Blender & use the pre-programmed salsa setting to blend.

2. Add tomatillos, sliced apple, ginger, apple pie spice, olive oil, sugar, salt, and parsley and pulse until combined.

Tomatillo Salsa

2 tablespoons water.

1/2 pound tomatillos.

1/2 cup white onion, coarsely chopped and 1 garlic clove, chopped.

1/2 small serrano pepper, quartered.

1/8 teaspoon salt.

2 tablespoons cilantro leaves, coarsely chopped and 1 teaspoon lime juice.

1. Place the first six ingredients into Oster blender.

2. Transfer to a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened

3. Stir in cilantro and lime juice.

Mango Salsa

1/2 cup diced peaches, fresh or canned.

1 mango, pitted, peeled and diced.

1/2 red pepper, diced.

3 green onions, chopped.

Question:	Is the base exterior metal or painted plastic. Old Oster has metal base
Answer:	The midsole is flexible enough so it does not hamper agility for any type of sports activity. Also it is sturdy enough to give your feet enough support for heavier activities like, lifting heavy objects, or climbing. The heel and foot support gives you a solid platform when weight lifting and won’t compress or collapse under heavy stress giving you a solid safe platform. The ankle support is also padded enough to protect you from impacts to your ankles from rocks while climbing while hiking or on trail. You also have the choice of lacing up loose for total comfort on feet or ankles or lacing up tight for total support. I use mine for fast draw gun fighting where you are running and twisting. When you get into position you have a solid comfortable platform.

Question:	Can this be used as a whisk? Like mashed potatoes
Answer:	I wouldn't use it as a wisk neccesarily...but yes you could put cooked potatoes in it but you will get potato soup before you get mashed potatoes.
Question:	I'm not really sure how to put this blender together. I think I've got it right, but it isn't like other blenders I've owned. Those I simply twist the glass jar into the base and connect it to the blender motor. This one has more flimsy parts that I don't really enjoy having to take apart and re-assemble every time
Answer:	Up against the glass base, the gray rubbery gasket will be placed. This keeps the liquid from oozing out the bottom. Then place the steel blades inside the glass jar, from the bottom, with the gray gasket in between the glass jar and the round base of the steel blades. Last comes the black plastic bottom, which screws on---it should screw on easily if placed right. Make sure it is tight.Then place the whole assembled jar onto the motor base and rotate the jar slightly, until it settles into the motor base. If done correctly, the blender will run smoothly when you push a button.Don't forget the lid!

Answer:	Tried it--suggest leaving out ice a few minutes to before blending - then it does not blend into real small pieces very well. BUT Oster has ice crusher blades to buy, on Amazon, I think. OR call Oster Customer Service 1-800-334-0759
Question:	can this blender make peanut butter? some blenders seem to be able to do that
Answer:	I can only presume so as that is something I would not do. I have ground coffee, semi frozen cubed chicken, made Almond butter, with great success, and salsa verde. I ordered the Oster 4937 Mini Jar Accessory which does a fantastic job of pureeing fresh garlic in a Tbsp. of olive oil. I am so delighted with this blender, using it is so futuristic with the pre-programmed buttons which stop the process at the right time, no watching to see if it is working. If a second cycle is needed, no problem press the button and continue prepping other things for the next job. An excellent decision, no more Magic Bullets...the powerful 600-watt, reversing motor alternates the blades forward and backward, drawing food and ice down for consistently smooth blending, a great addition is the small jar (additional piece at ~$9.00) which does the trick for small jobs.

Answer:	There is not a reverse button. As stated by others the reverse action happens automatically for the programmed items. I love this feature.
Question:	How smooth are green smoothies made in this blender? I have an old oster 14 speed blender that makes perfectly smooth green smothies but its starting to die. My parents have a ninja and while its more powerful, it leaves my smoothies really chunky and not smooth the way I like them. I don't put ice or yogurt in my smoo
Answer:	I've found that what works with this blender is to blend hard stuff (baby carrots, cut up apple) first on that top-left Frozen Drinks button, add a handful of ice cubes (4-5), blend that on the same button, add the soft stuff (baby spinach), push it down into the middle with a spatula, blend it on the same button, add another handful of ice cubes, blend 2x, add a little water (around 4 oz.), and then blend 3x. It comes out the consistency of soy milk-- silky, smooth, no chunks or applesauce texture, but definitely thicker than water. Using the ice cubes vs just water also lessens the amount of foam at the top.

Answer:	It should, they seem fairly universal on the fittings. The important thing is knowing the size needed for your fridge (should be indicated in the owner's manual) and the size of your water supply connection. If it measures up on both ends, it should be fine.
Question:	How come the description above says it is a 6 cup white unit but the picture of the box shows a 5 cup version for the white one
Answer:	Probably no. Typically, this line is used as the water SUPPLY to the refrigerator. Unless your fridge also has an accessible OUTLET connection from the filter, there is no place to tie in.
Question:	is this blender ac powered or dc powered
Answer:	This hose is not good for potable water lines. The bad taste does not go away and may be harmful. Return it and purchase a PEX line (plastic)

Answer:	Whether it's listed or not, has no connection to the way they do business. I used them because their recommendation rate was high from a large number of customers. They performed admirably, and I'll use them again ... you should too!
