Question:	What is the heat resistance of the handle/device
Answer:	Yes, it works for whole turkey or chicken. To get an accurate reading on whole birds you have to stick the meat thermometer in the thickest part of the thigh, in between the leg and the body, and make sure to avoid the bone.
