Answer:	yes it does read in Celsius but it was terrible and did not work I returned it. I'm sorry I did not read the reviews before I purchased.
Question:	i hv used my thermometer and love it for about 1 year now. however currently am unable to select the temperature i want to set at. what can i do
Answer:	To set your own temp you must choose CUSTOM temp. I too wish I could set the meat temps instead of the USDA recommendation of burn till tough. All germs die at 157 degrees. So if the temp of (all) your meat goes to at least 157 then you are safe.

Answer:	about 49 inches the probe is about 7 1/2 inches
