It holds an edge well and the handle lays in my hand like it was custom made. blood, fat, gristle, and/or water do not effect the grip for boning with this little dandy! Remington is a good alternative at a cheaper price for someone who likes to straighten their hair but doesn't do it all the time. Week/monthy maybe.
