Answer:	The Manufacturer says it Can NOT be painted over - Right on the bottle, so I'm confused as to why 'Jeremy - Manufacturer' keeps on answering this question saying Yes. I have not tried to paint over it - and won't likely try to, because after using the product on multiple items that were stripped in the Evapo-rust Remover, I found the items immediately re-rusted without the Rust-Block, but also gained a slightly rust colored tint to the metal even when I did use the Rust-Block. It wildly 'slowed' the re-rusting, but did not put an end to it - even though I have two 5-gal buckets, side by side, so when one part is cleaned, it's immediately dipped into the Rust-Block. It also leaves a slightly sticky residue, and takes a long time to dry. For those reasons, I wouldn't try to just paint over it. I scrub it off, rinse with Alcohol to prep for paint, then RUN to the paint room to get a coat on ASAP, before the re-rusting gets going again. (Stunningly Fast Re-Rusting, too.)

Answer:	My experience. Used it this summer on some serious rust on a jeep floor panel. I followed manf. instructions best as I could. Removed as much loose rust as possible.Thoroughly wet it down w/metal blast, waited, and rinsed with water while metal blast was still wet. I let it dry completely before coating with rust bullet. I could see the transformation of the rust layer after metal blast. Seemed to convert the rust to a solid base. I believe this uses phosphoric acid, so likely the reason for thorough rinsing. I would think the rust bullet may not adhere well if any residual acid is left behind. If left to dry, maybe respray a bit and rinse while still wet.Overall, seemed to work pretty good. I used this combo on many rusted areas on the jeep. In some spots aluminum body filler was used followed by paint. So far holding up ok. Will tell better after the salty upstate NY winter. The key is getting to ALL the rust. Good luck.

Some laminated surfaces (counter tops) are coated with a synthetic surface which may be affected by rust removers; clean spills immediately. Answer:	Any metal capable of rust will be prone to rust if exposed to humid environments. The simple solution is after cleaning with EvapoRust is painting it to protect it.

Answer:	With the evapo rust, you need to make sure there are no oils, grease, etc prior to being on the metal when you soak the evapo rust. Once you soak the evapo rust and the rust has been removed, the product has done its job. You do want to wash it off afterwards and dry it. To keep it from re rusting is another problem in of itself. We have a product called rust block that comes in either a trigger spray or aerosol can. Spray a layer of it on there and it will keep the object from re- rusting for up to a year

Answer:	It can be sprayed but would not be effective, Parts need to be submerged for 1 to 2 days maybe more depending on the amount of rust.
Question:	Can I use this on a stainless steel refrigerator
Answer:	Cleaning the item down to rust only would likely get you the best results for removing the rust. As for your question, I do not know how much of the effectiveness would be reduced if the item is oily or greasy - I am guessing it would be reduced by the degree of oil and/or grease present.
Question:	I need to get rusty water stains off of brick. What is best to use for this
Answer:	I do not know for sure if it can be applied on large parts. The directions says to "immerse" the part. I used it to clean the internal (water jacket) part of a Model A engine. I never did try it by applying to a part and letting the part set. It does take some time so you would have to keep the part wet all the time (probably at least a few hours) for it to work. For frame cleaning I used the POR-15 40701 Rust Remover. It worked pretty well on lightly rusted metal.

Question:	Does it remove mill scale? If so how long does it take
Answer:	Personally I use Evapo Rust because its cheaper, biodegradable, safe if contact occurs with your skin or eyes, you can use it on all metals such as chrome which this you can't, and it's safe for painted surfaces where this product you can't. The cost difference varies from place to place. On Amazon this product is between $3-10.00 more than E.R. It also comes in a 3-gallon container with a dipping basket, which is very handy. I use gloves, but you can dip your hand in or scrub the object right in the solution. E.R. can be reused over and over and I've had the same 3 gallons for 3 years! I restore metal woodworking tools on an average of 3-4 tools/day. Now that longevity!! I would recommend getting E.R. in the 3-gallon container if you can afford it, and you plan to use it often enough to justify the price of $35-$55.00. And no I don't work for E.R., lol. Good luck.

Answer:	I guess that would depend on how heavily rusted it is....But this stuff WORKS! I've used it on rusty car and motorcycle parts, and it too the rust off. Question:	I need to remove rust from the interior cargo area of my van. Will this work? Can it be sprayed into nooks & crannies then washed off
Answer:	Metal Rescue only works on iron and steel. If you're talking about iron or steel items that have been exposed to high temperatures or a flame then yes Metal Rescue will dissolve the rust on the surface but it can't do anything about pitting, etching or other surface damage caused by the heat. Any other metal like silver, brass, gold etc Metal Rescue will not have any affect on. Boric acid such as flux? I doubt it would help at all.
Question:	what should you clean the gel off with before painting
Answer:	The directions say not to let parts soak for more than 24 hours at a time. With that said, assuming you fill the tank enough to soak all of the rusted areas AND do the treatment with an ambient temperature of at least 68° (above 75° works faster) it will work. If it's heavily rusted you may need to treat it multiple times. As far as not taking the tank of, so long as you can drain all of the rust remover and the water that is used to deactivate it you'll be good to go (ensure you flush the tank with gasoline at the end).
