Answer:	it depends on how big the truffles are. If you can fit it in, then yes you can slice them.... I slice radishes and shallots all the time.

Answer:	Yes, you have to peel the garlic first. However, the slicer portion works great, but the mincer portion does not mince, it just crushes the garlic and then you have to clean it out of the receptacle before you can put in another clove. Don't know why they call it a mincer when it doesn't mince, just crushes.
