Answer:	The handles are black but not plastic. They feel rubberized and are extremely comfortable. I wash my press in thedishwasher with no problems.

Answer:	The description states "Sturdy, die-cast zinc construction" so I'm not sure that it is. I know that they do have a few Stainless Steel models, if you search for them. OXO is a brand I highly recommend, so definitely look for that!

Answer:	Yes, the handles of mine take in water, but we just detach the rubber handles before putting the press in the dishwasher. Answer:	I have not tried ginger yet ... I will buy some this week and let you know  it works wonderfully on un pealed garlic!
Question:	How does it compare to the Kuhn Rikon Epicurean
Answer:	I bought the garlic press for my son. He has never had a Kuhn Rikon Epicurean to use, so there is no good way to compare the products. He did say that he was pleased with the garlic press I sent to him. that it cleans up nicely, does a great job pressing the garlic cloves.
Question:	Does water get trapped in the tubular part of the handles
Answer:	What a good question! I looked closer at the handles and they appear to be sealed. I have never had water get trapped in them. However, I have never left them submerged in a sink of water either. They are so easy to clean, that just a quick swish under the faucet has always been enough. I have not put them through a dish washer either. They are so easy to rinse clean, that it just seems like an unneccesary waste of space to put them in there.
Question:	Is this easy to use for a person with small (and not very strong) hands
Answer:	I have small hands with an average grip, and I think it's relatively easy. It's a lot easier than the Farberware branded one I had before it. It also is easy to clean. Not heavy or clunky, and very durable.
