Answer:	First year I had it I used the knife to whip through 96 avocados. Last year I opened and pitted 144 avocados to make guacamole. Both of those tools are great! While the slicer does clean out the skin, I found the "slices" to be not pretty enough to use for garnish or presentation. They were kinda mushy (which worked fine for the guac). Still, I have happily purchased the tool for friends who have been as thrilled with it as I am.

Answer:	I wound up here by following my nose on The Deal of the Day. Mangos are totally different from avocados. Mainly, the shape of the seed and the high adherence of the fruit to the seed. And while I can't believe anyone would actually pay for an item such as this: no, I can tell you that it will not work for a mango. I use a fillet knife; I remove one large section from each side of the seed. I take the skin off of the seed using the knife in standard fashion. Then I cut each "half" into 3-4 lengths and, once again, fillet the skin off. I got a good fillet knife here. I was about $15.00. I consider it to be a much better deal. The adjusting knob underneath is made of aluminum, where as the other is plastic. A heavier duty adjustment that prolongs the life of even cutting. I’ve owned the regular which lasted me 7years in a restaurant with the proper maintenance and care. The super model is worth it if you working in commercial kitchens.
