Answer:	.Yes. have taken Oxo up on their warranty for this product a couple times, and they replaced it free of charge. I now have my third one. I don't know if I beat my first two ones up too hard or what, but I'm going easier on this one and using it much less frequently. I'm using a mandoline for most of my dicing needs these days.

Answer:	Yes this chopper works well on foods. The more fine you want it the more you chop...the blade changes direction with every chop so it rotates the food easily.
Question:	How do you remove the safety cover? *Found a video that shows someone pulling on the bottom plastic blade
Answer:	I don't use it with the bottom of the bowl in place, I chop on a chopping board. If the bottom is on I would say it wouldn't hold a lot; as it is I normally chop an onion in quarters and chop on the board.

How to Set Up the Meat Slicer

1. Find the V-shape feeder table in the package.

2. Find the bolt screws(the one that have wings) that's inside the accessory bag.

3. Put the v-shape feeder on the bottom board, put the bolts carefully through the hole on the bottom board, and secure the bolts tightly from the bottom side with bolt screws.

Note: Don't put the feeder table too far to the right, the blade on the handle might contact the feeder table when slicing.

Useful Tips When Using a Meat Slicer

1. Do not try to slice bone. It is important to only slice foods which do not contain bone. This can cause damage to your slicer.

2. Do not slice fully thawed meat. The best texture is one which is almost frozen. It is the same as if you were to slice chicken breasts in order to fillet them into very thin slices. Anyone who has tried to do this understands that it is very difficult to achieve a nice even cut when the meat is fully thawed. The same applies with a slicer. Trying to thinly slice foods which are, for lack of a better term, floppy – just doesn’t work.

3. Do not skimp on the cleaning. It is important that the parts has to be taken down separately to clean after every use. This is an important part of maintenance. The better you keep it clean and in good condition, the longer it will last.

4. Do not wash in the dishwasher. Do not try to wash any part of your slicer in the dishwasher. The hard detergents are not suitable for these appliances. Instead wash with warm soapy water and do not rush this process in order to make sure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.

5. Keep the nuts, bearings away from the water while cleaning this product, because if there's water scale left inside them, the friction will wear out these parts after long time use.

6. Do not slice foods with seeds. The seeds of other fruits such as peaches, avocados, apples, etc. can cause damage to your appliance.

7. When some people complain about their slicer not slicing smoothly for paper thin results, one should first ask if the food item is completely thawed. This can make a big difference in your results.

Answer:	No, it's totally sealed. I might add that after less than a year, the battery barely holds a charge.

Answer:	You can't. Sorry. I use mine alot. When I fully charge it I can usually leave it on charge for quite awhile. But not always, 2 to 3 hours will usually do it. But sometimes I have to use it one time after another for gallon cans. It it does run completely down on a gallon can. AndI can plug it in ASAP and in 10 to 15 minutes I can do another. Time after Time. But I always have a back up just in case.Hand can opener. Never know when something might go wrong. Or the electricity goes out :)

Question:	Is the disk that fits under the lid supposed to come loose
Answer:	Have had one for years, old style nearly indestructible. It has a thin plastic disc that goes in the bottom, never had any material break or chip off. The inside of the top is slotted so they fit together by turning. Made this way so you can clean the entire unit. If you try and work it without having it installed on the glass jar the inner portion of the top will pop out, it isn’t designed to do that for whatever reason you have in mind. since it isn’t designed to do that.

Answer:	I don't think so... I think this would shred lettuce and turn it into a mush mess. Maybe if you did one or two pulls... But you wouldn't be able to do much at a time. Especially not 14 cups

Answer:	It will chop a large onion beautifully. I cut the onion into 8 chunks and then start pulling. The more pulls the finer the onion is chopped. The container will hold about 3 cups but I haven't tried more than 1 cup at a time.

Answer:	It's not that good for garlic, the garlic cloves tend to sit at the bottom and you wont get an even chop; however, it does work great with onions, tomatoes, herbs, and for making guacamole. I recently ordered my second chopper, I made the mistake of letting water go to the inside of the lid on the first one and the pulling cord got rotten and broke. I will make sure of taking better care of the second one.

Answer:	There are two blades...one at the bottom and one closer to the top....there is also a plastic bar which is probably for grabbing and removing the blades for cleaning...it is not a blade.

Answer:	The only actual hole in the lid is where the rope attaches to the handle on the side, the bottom can be wiped and rinsed clean without getting water inside the lid. Now I wouldn't submerse the entire lid under water but it can be simply and carefully cleaned. Above the metal blades on the center piece there is a plastic blade that spins to keep food bits from building up too much on the lid.

Answer:	The “chop-chop” is slightly larger 3 cups vs 2 cups for the “pull-chop”. The “chop-chop” also comes with a separate arm to help with chopping small amounts of herbs and garlic, basically it scrapes the bottom to lift the food into the path of the blades. There are a few esthetic differences as well. It looks like the “chop-chop” is a newer design and its currently $2 cheaper.
