Answer:	It's a smaller sized scoop. So, if you're into smaller scoops it might work. While it feels sturdy, I wonder how it would stand up to hard ice cream.

Answer:	It depends on the size of the cupcake batter. This will make a medium size ball of cookie dough, cupcake batter might be a little runny for this and these might be too small. It seems like this is the wrong tool for the job. It would scoop more efficiently than a spoon, less efficiently than a ladle.
Question:	does the scoop have a number on the inside on the part inside that releases the product
Answer:	Yes. The small size scoop says "60 (2 tsp)" and the medium size scoop says "40 (1-1/2 T.)" I don't have the large scoop so I can't tell you what that one says.

Answer:	Yes, it is. The bristles are silicone, which is generally heat resistant to about 450 degrees or so. I'm not sure about what the handle is made out of, so be careful to not rest it against the heating surface. I use this for buttering a hot waffle iron at least once a week--it works great!

Answer:	If you have stainless pots, try brushing it over the stainless making sure to use good pressure so each bristle touches the stainless. The iron in steel is a natural attractant to odors. That's why stainless bars work to remove odors from your hands. I just brush mine against the steel while I'm washing my pots. Works good!

Answer:	The blades are the best I have used. I'm on my second one in two years. It's the handle on the sides that eventually breaks.

Answer:	Try putting a paper towel between the containers when nested. Once a glass dish has chipped they are far more prone to breaking and shattering. I witnessed a glass Pyrex dish shatter as it was taken out of the microwave and put on the counter.

Answer:	This press is very difficult to use. It took both my wife and I to push the button and then simultaneously lift the press rod. You DO have to do some twisting and screwing. The instructions are terrible.

Answer:	Yes, the case comes with 12 built-in slots to hold the starter disks upright, but there is room to fit additional disks bewteen the slots (however, as these extra disks are not held in place, they tend to bump into the other disks, potentially scratching them). The extra disk sets do NOT come with a storage case; I wish that OXO would make an optional larger storage case available with at least 30 slots to hold the 12 starter disks plus any additional seasonal sets they release (there are currently 12 additional disks available for spring and fall, with potentially more to come)

Answer:	I don't know the letter size. I bought the OXO extra sets. I had discs from cookie guns I had in the past and kept the discs after those broke. Some of them fit, some don't. The OXO discs are on the small size. If you find sets from other companies that fit the OXO, I would be interested in knowing about them so I could add to my selection.
