Question:	are the gears steel
Answer:	I never had it get warm enough to have to cool it down. I've used it to grind up two elk all at one time, so like around two hundred pounds of hamburger or enough to fill two large coolers, without any issue. The grinder probably ran almost constant for three to four hours with the only break being to change out the catch container, clean out the machine, or dice up more meat. The tendons and gristle tend to wind up in the grinder and it has to be cleaned out occasionally, which takes a few minutes. We usually have an assembly line where we are constantly feeding in more, grinding and packaging, all at the same time, so once we start grinding it is usually all done at one time. This machine has worked well for me as I have had it for several years now and cut up numerous elk and deer for myself and friends, with no issues. I am very pleased, however; I did see a post about someone saying they put the parts of the machine into a dishwasher and it tarnished the metal. I always wash all the parts by hand and let them dry naturally.
Question:	I want to make cat food. Will it grind chicken and turkey bones? I intend to cut the bones into smaller pieces and feed through with the meat

Answer:	I would not recommend this to grind up bone, but I have never tried. I feel that anything other than cartilage will be too much.

Answer:	Dishwasher detergents are very harsh and will etch some metals permanently. The damage is done, the only way I know is to buy new parts and hand wash. In the future maybe read the manual? Just sayin..

Cut the meat in long skinny strips & they will pull themselves through the machine without jamming up, so you won't need to push the meat through, it will do it it's self & won't choke down the motor so should last a long time. It is hard for a company to admit that their machine with chop bones up. I quest they are concerned that there machine won't hold up. this machine grinds the meat and bones as fast as u can feed it. Electric Foot Pedal

An On/Off Electric Foot Fedal is included with this grinder for "Hands Free" operation of the meat grinder.



This is especially handy when stuffing sausage.



Please note that you "Do Not" have to use the foot pedal to control the grinder. When the grinder is not connected to the foot pedal, the switches on the side of the grinder control the unit.

4 Part Grinding Head

The Grinding Head on this grinder is a Size #12 and not a smaller size #5 or #8 like most kitchen grinders.



The 4 parts of this Grinding Head are manufactured from Food Grade Polished Cast Aluminum (NOT Coated).



These parts should NOT be washed in the dishwasher, but should be washed with a mild detergent (like Dawn Liquid) and hot water, towel dried and stored in a dry place.

Kubbe/Kibbe Attachment

A Kubbe (also know as Kibbe) Attachment also comes with this grinder.



For those of you who are not familiar with Kubbes, they are Traditional Middle Eastern Dish comprised of a cylinder-like shell made from meat which lamb and bulghar wheat. The center is then stuffed with a spiced minced lamb filling and the ends are sealed to form the Kubbe which is then Deep-Fried.

New Style Meat Pusher

We have designed a new type/style of Meat Pusher for stuffing your raw meat down into the grinder.



Although this grinder will normally just pull the meat down into the auger to be ground, you can just use the palm of your hand on the top of this pusher instead of gripping it with your hands which can get tiresome.

Parts Packed in One

In the above photo you can see that the top of the Meat Pusher opens up and you can store your Sausage Tube Set inside of it.



If you do store the Sausage Tubes inside this pusher, we suggest that you dry them thoroughly before storing them so condensation does not build up inside the pusher.

How to Make Sausage

Highly recommend following steps to stuff sausage:

No Need to Grind Meat double times, Only One Time! From grinding meat directly to stuffing sausage at the same time.

1. Cut raw meat to short narrow cubes
2. Mix Sausage seasonings and other ingredients together with the cut meat (from 1st step)
3. Freeze the Mixed meat with seasonings(from 2nd step) for a while, or just put it aside for a few minutes to let water drained.
4. Then put the waterless or partially frozen meat on food tray to stuff sausage directly.

Answer:	Thank you for reaching out and asking about our STX International Turboforce II Electric Meat Grinder. This grinder runs (under no load) at 600 Watts and runs between 600 Watts and 1200 Watts (under load). The peak output power of this product is 3000 Watts and the mathematical equation for conversion of Watts into HP is 1HP = 746 Watts. 3000 Watts divided by 746 equals over a 4 HP "Rating", but please note that this grinder does NOT have a 4 HP motor in it. This is a "RATING ONLY" and is not to be confused with the motors that come in Commercial/Industrial Meat Grinders that have actual 1 HP to sometimes 1.5 HP motors in them. Helpful Tips!

1.We recommend is to leave the attachment head a little loose while grinding. If you tighten the head too much it won’t allow the shaft to move freely which to me puts stress on your mixer motor.

2. In order for an easy and stress free grinding session, you must make sure your meat is very cold or even partially frozen AND your attachments are very cold as well. We recommend putting the grinder and meat in the freezer for 30 minutes before you use it to keep the meat from heating up on the grinding prices.



NOTE!!!

No matter what you do Don’t ever dishwash meat grinders always hand wash them. And make sure to get it all the way dry before storing it will prolong the life of the item.

Make sure grinding blade in correct direction(install blade sharp side outward).
