Answer:	Yes, it recharges when it is plugged in. I operate a produce stand and used it everyday then charged it at night. However, the battery lasted a month and replacement batteries are not available so now it only works when plugged in. There is a light that comes on to show it is plugged in but not whether it is charging. Save yourself some aggravation and purchase a higher quality scale.

Question:	How do you calibrate the scale
Answer:	I have never been able to get this scale to be accurate at small increments. It says. O1 gram but the scale just bounces around. Maybe because I didn't calibrate so I will wait for someone who may have calibrated theirs. Sorry I Cannot help. Scale is decent quality and probably very good for heavier substances.
