Answer:	Its a great rug for under water dishes and wet paws - really holds tons of water. But staying in place when not held down, forget it. I use one as a rug by my bed (I have tile and use it to wipe my feet clean before getting into bed.) The pups love to pick it up and run around with it. Maybe there is a backing you could put in it to keep it in place, because otherwise its great.

Answer:	I really think this rug is best for indoor use. I use a waterhog mat outside the front door and these indoors.

Answer:	I purchased dark brown rugs and can't tell if the dogs have relieved themselves on them so I wash weekly. The rugs wash and dry great. Make sure that your spin cycle on the washer is set on "high" because these rugs are designed to absorb water. They come out perfect every time with no impact to the rubberized material on the back of the rugs. In my opinion, the only downside to these rugs is that the rubberized material doesn't quite keep the rugs in place. I had to add a non-skid mat under them to hold them in place. If you can live with straightening the rugs periodically, they are terrific rugs and do a great job absorbing water and dirt from feet, shoes, and paws.
Question:	Are they durable for dogs who are still teething or chew when stressed
Answer:	The backing is 3/16" wide strips of "rubberized" fibers sewn into lengthwise rows spaced about 1/4". Looking at the mat upside down, imagine a plowed field with the high points being the "rubberized" fibers. In use, the "rubberized" fibers will aid in keeping the "breathing" rows off the surface. There is plenty of air space. The backing fibers have a very light/thin rubber feeling that does not particularly resist movement very well unless there is weight on them, at least on tile where ours are, which isn't a big deal. So, given the lack of a solid rubber backing, shifting around with use and the great absorbency of the fibers I'd have no problem using them on a hardwood floor having a typical finish. I use "rubberized" as I don't know what the actual "sticky" material applied to the "lifting" rows is. Probably not rubber. IOW, this does not have a sheet of rubber, or whatever, that will trap moisture and dirt under it like el cheapo door mats. These mats are well made, designed well, and really do the trick with our two Doodles. BTW, combined with the Soggy Doggy Shammy (sic) I'm more than pleased with the results. Now, if Doggy Place had only put the correct color (charcoal/grey) in the boxes marked charcoal and/or grey I'd really be happier. Surprise! You get Navy Blue. Factory needs color blind testing.
