Question:	I used this to create textures for my painting and it just shrank and flattened. I thought this was suppose to give texture and high peaks. How come
Answer:	Firstly, the product will flatten out on a flat surface as it dries - this is an unavoidable effect of gravity. "High peaks" must be carefully sculpted and then reshaped while drying - consider drying your piece upside down. Let gravity do its work. Secondly, this product is designed to be used with other Liquitex acrylic paints - if you're mixing it with another type of paint, an unfavorable chemical reaction may be affecting your desired result. The same holds true if you are applying it over a painted surface which has dried. Third, you could consider adding a stiffening agent, such as quick setting acrylic adhesive, to your mixture. This will force the gel to "set up" quickly and stiffen. Experiment with a little bit of material first.

Answer:	I think it could be used outside, especially in a shelter of some kind. I think it would work best if kept out of the sun. I have heard that people's cats like this mat.
Question:	can I have my dog on this pad for more then 8 hous in his kennel on a flight
Answer:	Oh God, no! Please don’t put your dog in a kennel on a flight, unless you are planning to take kin in the air conditioned/ heated pressurized passenger cabin.The cargo hold is so cold and noisy at altitude and so noisy.Not to mention the noxious fumes leaking in. Airplanes are a fast way of travel but can be deadly for animals. Unless you’re going to be with the dog in the baggage compartment, pay a bit more and get it a seat by you.
Question:	Hi, the listing shows mat as SM? But description shows it a good and large? Is this mat a lg. one? I want to order it. Thanks
Answer:	The large is about 36 inches by 20 inches, which fit my long, 65-pound dog perfectly, since to be cool, the important thing is to get the body on the mat, not the head or tail. When she lies on her side, her legs also hang part way off the mat, but this too is fine. Get a size large enough so that your dog's torso will fit on the mat. She still loves this, and it still loves how cool it is, even though the weather is getting cooler.
Question:	What is the gel made of? ie the Chemical. Is it toxic to dogs if it leaks
Answer:	My puppy just tore the mat apart and the foam bits and the gel were everywhere. I freaked out because the term "non-toxic" wasn't enough for me. I called the poison hotline (ASPCA) and they reassured me that because of my dogs size and the ingredients (home grown USA), that at the very most, he might experience some loose stool or vomiting. Not saying that if your dog ingest this you should not contact your vet, but I thought I would write this answer to ease someone else going through the same process. FYI-the post mentioning the mat being toxic was made a couple years ago, so I'm not sure if they changed the ingredients-but for reference I purchased mine summer of 2016

Answer:	It's not very heavy at all.

Answer:	I have not had oil spill in the mat so far, but I think the material would be ok, by just wiping it of. It's not fabric, so it wouldn't soak through. The material is more like soft rubber based. I don't think it would be stain proof however.

Answer:	You could use it on top of vinyl flooring. We put our mats on top of luxury vinyl tile.
