Answer:	I always buy the 1 inch by 5 1/2 inch size blocks of cheese, and lay it on the slicer with the short side vertical. I just tried slicing it the other way, (5 1/2 tall), and it was slightly more difficult to cut precisely, but it worked.

Question:	How do I replace a broken wire? Do I have to remove the handle; if so, how do I do that? Sorry, but I need step by step instructions
Answer:	Unscrew the handle and remove the broken wire from both ends. On the bottom of the slicer, there should be two wires taped to the bottom. Each wire has two loops on it. Slip the wire over both ends from where they were attached and screw the handle back on. The handle should allow you to put tension on the wire to make it good and tight. (The handle is the tensioning device.)

Answer:	IT will depend on the height and width of the block of cheese. The cutting arm does go fairly high so it might just work.

Answer:	The board is hard plastic. Well I like it. To me its sturdy enough. I like it how it has a measurement on it & I've cut meat's, cheese's & fruit's on it with no problem. The blade is REALLY sharp.
Question:	How thin can you cut softer cheeses
Answer:	Actually it doesn't cut the hard cheese right either. The blade is so fat that it pushes the slice way out from the block as it slices and it crumbles, breaking apart. I bought it for cheddar and had to return it. See my video below.

Why cut with a wire?

Soft cheeses can be sticky and messy even with the most advanced knives. This is when a wire cutter is the better option - the wire is ultra thin, and the cheese simply can’t stick to it. But there are other benefits as well: the cut is so precise that virtually no cheese goes to waste, and the structure of the cheese is preserved.

Maintenance

The board and dome is hand wash only. Wood is not dishwasher safe. Use warm water and soap to rinse it off, and leave it to dry vertically so the board will not warp. A monthly rub of mineral oil will keep the wood looking great.

Please take following steps of " replacing the cheese slicer wire" 1.Loosen the screw on the head of handle, remove the wire-fastening pin and pull out the old wire from the handle 2.Take the replacement wire ,push wire loop into the groove ,slide metal bar back into board,passing the bar through wire loop. 3.Place the other wire loop into handle head and push the fastening pin to secure it. 4.Grasp the handle head and tighten screw into metal bar 5.Slowly push metal bar either into or out of board until the wire is aligned with cutting slot. Question:	I am not locating the replacement wire on the slicer I just received. Where was your's located in the packaging or slicer
Answer:	I just received the slicer today, November 10, 2020, and THE PACKAGE DID INCLUDE the replacement wire. As others have mentioned though, be very careful when you open the package as the replacement wire, and two little gold end pieces, are LOOSE inside the sealed package. I suggest you lay the package face-up on a flat surface and inspect the package through the clear plastic before opening it. The replacement wire is laying loosely above and parallel to the original wire, and the tiny gold end pieces are on the wire, but there is nothing to stop them from rolling off the wire and onto the floor when you open the package. I stored the replacement wire, with the gold end pieces, in a plastic sandwich bag with the piece of the cardboard package that identifies it. Good Luck and Happy Slicing!
Question:	Can I get really thin slices with this slicer
Answer:	This is a great slicer, but I have not had much success with really thin slices.
Question:	The wire broke after only using it 4 times. How do I use the 1 year warranty
Answer:	We purchased this unit on September 20th. The original wire broke a few weeks ago and the replacement wire broke only 3-4 slices later. I will let you know how the warranty goes.
Question:	Can someone tell me the gauge of the stainless wire? I know it will inevitably break and maybe I can use some spooled stainless I already have
Answer:	Answering my own question: I bought one and measured the wire. The wire diameter is .022 inches, which corresponds to 23 American Wire Gauge (AWG). The holes in the holders of the wire ends appear to have a bit of excess opening, so the more-commonly-available (and slightly larger at .025") 22 AWG might work. The wire is held in place in the holder by the last 1/8" or so being doubled back on itself and flattened, so a pair of pliers would probably serve to crimp them. I'll try getting some wire and doing this if(when) the original and replacement have broken. Seems like that'll be less trouble than trying to obtain a replacement from the vendor anyway. In fact, when the original breaks, I'll probably try making a new one then because I'll need the intact replacement in order to get the length just right, that being critical to keeping the wire in the proper tension.

1. Firstly,attach the screw into the spare wire.
2. Insert the screw and spare wire through the hole on the product.
3. Turn the area you inserted upside down and press the product with support from an object (it can be a table).
4. Thus, the bars of the product will be stretched and the part you do not attach will provide comfort for you to attachment for other side of wire that you do not attach.
5. When the product is stretched, you will insert the side that you are not attached with the screw and stop pressing the product, and your wire replacement will be finished.
