Answer:	I would not recommend this product for any use. I used it 3-4 times with regular sized can and it worked poorly at best. Next time tried to use and the brand new Duracell batteries about a month later and it was not able to open anything. Wish I had returned it right off because then I found it was too late to return and I'm just out the money I paid for nothing useful. It only uses batteries and nothing "professional" about it.

Answer:	Can't think why you'd use this opener if the can had a tab, but since it has opened every can I've used it on, I tried out of curiosity. In fact, it did open a cat food can with a tab, but it needed a bit of coaxing. The rim seems to be shaped differently and it stalled at the tab, but I re-started it a few times and it finally opened the can all the way around. If the tab accidently breaks off a can this will open it, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for something to open tab-top cans on a regular basis.

Answer:	Mine did that with a pull tab top can. When I turned the little buttons on the side in a count Er-clockwise manner, tried a regular can, and it has worked ever since. Of course, I had already ordered another. Both work now.

Answer:	To be quite honest, I am not sure. A lot depends on the manufacturer's definition of "lifetime". I have several of the older type of can openers that are still working after 30 years. While I've had this one for only several months, I don't see how the "lifetime" of this type. The concept is similar with the exception of the angle of the cut. Due to the cut, it takes more pressure to turn the handle. Now you have my $0.02. A very positive point is that it allows me to use the removed top as a lid. This is especially helpful with cans of dog food. I personally am very happy with it.
