• Robotic jar opener that twists off lids. Structurally, the unit relies upon two large vice grips. The first extends along the outside of the jar, and it presses against the body of the jar you are trying to open. A second vice grip is located in the top center, on the underbelly of the robotic unit. This vice grips the jar lid. While holding tightly to the lid, this central vice unit turns until the lid is unscrewed.

Answer:	The opening wheel (not really a blade) does NOT touch the contents in the can. It only contacts the outside edge of the can rim. So the food is not contaminated. Sometimes, some of the food leaks out and gets of the wheel. I use a small brush dipped in warm dish water to clean the wheel. A tooth brush works great.

You run to get scissors to cut through the package but with some effort, you still can't stretch it open without cutting further.. You then cut through horizontally from one end to the other and are trying to pry open the packaging and you cut yourself with a fountain of blood flowing out of your cut fingers. Still not frustrated?"Frustration-Free Packaging" is VERY straightforward packaging which makes opening said product(s) VERY seamless, is friendly to the environment by being recyclable, and is simply a no-brainer to open. Answer:	I have used it on large cans, but there are times it will not work. There is a magnetic switch in the center of the opener that must make contact with the can. If the rim of the can is too tall and the magnetic switch cannot make contact, the opener will not work.

Answer:	Can't think why you'd use this opener if the can had a tab, but since it has opened every can I've used it on, I tried out of curiosity. In fact, it did open a cat food can with a tab, but it needed a bit of coaxing. The rim seems to be shaped differently and it stalled at the tab, but I re-started it a few times and it finally opened the can all the way around. If the tab accidently breaks off a can this will open it, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for something to open tab-top cans on a regular basis.

Step 1:Remove the paper or plastic neckband seal from the Jar.

Step 2:Move the rubber grip of the Outer Jaws all the way down.

Step 4:Press and hold the Button. The Outer Jaws will begin to move in. Release the Inner Jaws begin to move.
