14 best taprite co2 regulators

Taprite CO2 regulators are essential components in kegging and draft beer systems, as well as other applications where carbon dioxide (CO2) gas needs to be controlled and regulated. These regulators are designed to maintain precise pressure levels to carbonate and dispense beverages like beer, soda, and sparkling water. Here's what you need to know about Taprite CO2 regulators:

  1. Pressure Regulation: Taprite CO2 regulators are specifically designed to regulate the pressure of CO2 gas from a CO2 tank to a desired and consistent level. This is crucial for carbonating beverages and maintaining the appropriate pressure for serving draft beer or other carbonated drinks.

  2. Compatibility: These regulators are compatible with various CO2 tanks commonly used in home brewing, kegging systems, and bars. They often feature different types of connections to fit different tank types, such as CGA-320 for standard CO2 tanks.

  3. Dual-Gauge Design: Taprite CO2 regulators typically come with a dual-gauge design. One gauge displays the output pressure, which can be adjusted using a knob or dial, while the other gauge indicates the pressure remaining in the CO2 tank. This allows users to monitor both the serving pressure and the tank's contents.

  4. Safety Features: Taprite regulators are engineered with safety in mind. They often include safety relief valves that release excess pressure to prevent over-pressurization of the system, which could lead to leaks or other issues.

  5. Precision and Consistency: These regulators are known for their precision and consistency in maintaining the desired CO2 pressure. This is important for achieving the appropriate level of carbonation in beverages and ensuring that draft beer is dispensed at the correct serving pressure.

  6. Commercial and Home Use: Taprite CO2 regulators are suitable for both commercial and home use. Homebrewers often use them to carbonate and serve homemade beer, while bars, restaurants, and beverage distributors rely on them for their draft systems.

  7. Adjustability: The regulators allow users to adjust the output pressure to suit different carbonation levels and serving requirements. This flexibility is particularly important in the brewing industry, where different beer styles may require varying levels of carbonation.

  8. Maintenance: Like any mechanical equipment, Taprite CO2 regulators require periodic maintenance to ensure proper operation. This may involve cleaning, inspecting for wear and tear, and replacing worn components.

In summary, Taprite CO2 regulators are critical components in kegging and draft beer systems, as well as other applications where precise CO2 pressure control is essential. They are valued for their reliability, precision, and safety features, making them popular choices for both homebrewers and professionals in the beverage industry. These regulators help ensure that carbonated beverages are properly carbonated and dispensed with consistent quality.

You can use this low-pressure regulator on any CO2 tank with a CGA-320 valve. CO2 tanks have a male thread (CGA-320); these regulators have a female thread. This regulator features dual gauges to measure psi as well as the volume of CO2 in the cylinder, indicating how much CO2 is left in the cylinder and when you should have it refilled. The knob on the front is used to adjust the output pressure. The red polycarbonate bonnet will not chip, break or fade. There is a non-adjustable shut down built into the body of the regulator. The high-pressure ports have left-hand female threads to prevent their use as a low-pressure outlet. The non-removable adjusting screw is designed so that when it is turned all the way in the maximum downstream delivery pressure will not exceed 50psi, with a safety blow off at 60psi. Internal relief valve opens whenever delivery pressure exceeds set pressure by 15psi. This feature serves as a warning that the seat or diaphragm may be worn or damaged and should be replaced. Sintered metal flow control filter in the inlet nipple to prevent dirt and other particles from damaging internal regulator parts. The permanent Quad-Ring Seal on the inlet nipple helps eliminate a source of leaks, so there is no need to use a new fiber washer each time the tank is changed. Outlet features NADS 1600C shutoff which eliminates a source of gas leaks. The duck bill check valve helps prevent product back up into the regulator, a common cause of malfunction in the regulating and relief valve parts. Hose barb end designed for use with 5/16 inch I.D. pressure tubing. All regulators are pressure tested to assure in-field reliability. The seat assembly is easily replaceable, so there is no need to remove the regulator from the tank. User questions & answers

Question: Can i use this for both soda and beer? is there a safety feature that would prevent me from using this for 2 very different psis at same time
Answer: Yes, that's not a problem. You can run the co2 lines to whatever product you would like even if they are different. The separate dials allow for two pressures to be used for each line even if they are far apart. Thank you for your inquiry!

User questions & answers

Question: Does it come pre assembled
Answer: This is for any size aquarium. You adjust the flow of CO2 (usually counted in "bubbles per second") based on the volume of water and plant density. You do have to buy the correct sized diffuser to support your tank.
Question: Hi,Now have tank, regulator, gasline assembly w/ball lock and a carbonator but don't know what to do now. How do I hook into the sodastream w/this
Answer: Seems to be steel (soft metal) the wrench that comes with this does scratch/tear metal collar that’s screws onto the bottle
Question: Does this come with a 1/4" or a 5/16" barb? Thanks
Answer: Make sure the valve on the tank is open. If none of the gauges are moving there is no pressure getting to the valves. An empty co2 cylinder could also be the cause.
Question: Is this Made in USA
Answer: Hello David,Yes, this will work with a standard C02 tank and that is the most common tank that mixed/beer gas comes in. This is an excellent choice for a primary, if you plan to run secondary regulators because of the high pressure ability. AnthonyThe Beverage Factory

User questions & answers

Question: Do you need to use a washer when connecting this to a CO2 tank
Answer: It has been awhile since I have pulled it off of my CO2 tank but I would imagine you do, but I never bought anything in addition so my guess is it came with one. It will be another month before I pull it off again but I'll check then. Sorry for the lack of help.
Question: Does this item use the cga 320 connection
Answer: Hello, Yes, this regulator has a CGA320 connection. Anthony The Beverage Factory
Question: Is this a Taprite regulator
Answer: The regulator is assembled by Taprite.
Question: Instead of directly attaching this regulator to the CO2 tank, can it be remotely attached via a hose? And what can be used for this
Answer: Yes if you had the right fittings but it is honestly dangerous. CO2 tanks are at ~2000 psi. Thats a lot of pressure if something ruptures. There might be fittings and a 1/2 SS braided reinforced hose that is rated at 3000 psi (Very expensive) would be my recommendation for something that would work and be safe. The easier way to do this is remotely store the tank and regulator somewhere and run the poly lines to your kegs from there. Much cheaper and safer.
