Question:	Is this made of glass
Answer:	I have the 2 quart pitcher and the instructions say 28-32 tablespoons or 2 cups of coffee for cold brew. I was confused at first and looking at the wrong directions and used only 1 cup. The coffee was drinkable but it was not as concentrated as it should be. Also, the instructions say to put it on it's side in the refrigerator which I didn't do the first time..

Answer:	It's not the same filter. The coffee maker uses an ultra-fine mesh filter, while the iced tea maker uses one that is not as fine. We also recommend using two filters - one for coffee and one for tea to ensure that you get the best taste from each beverage.
Question:	The suggested 28 tbsp coffee almost filled up the filter thingy - some grounds were even dry after sitting. What measurement works best
Answer:	yes... the switch is right in front under the word BUNN .. it turns on and off the plate warmer... be advised that it will not turn off automatically... you have to turn it off yourself

Answer:	I think you meant to say - what does GRW stand for?? GR is the model and W is for white. GR model has: 7.5 amps, single phase, 60 Hz. 900-watts total

Add Coffee

Add 14-16 tablespoons of your favorite medium roast, coarsely ground coffee to the infuser, then twist into lid.

Brew

Add 32 ounces of cold, filtered water to the Takeya pitcher, fill 3/4 full, then lower infuser into water.

Seal lid airtight, shake well and store in refrigerator overnight or up to 36 hours to cold brew. Occasionally twist open and swirl infuser. Remove infuser when brewing is complete. The result will be a brew of concentrated coffee.

Serve Hot or Cold

Hot Coffee - mix 1 part coffee concentrate with 2 parts boiling water. If desired add sweetener and creamer of your choice.

Iced Coffee - simply pour coffee concentrate and add milk or soy over ice.

Answer:	I don't believe you can do any modifications as is with this product. It plugs into a 5L Serving Keg and dispenses the Beer, I don't think you can do much else with it. It does this well from my experience.
Question:	will this work with any standard 5 liter mini keg
Answer:	Not totally sure but I wouldn’t see why it wouldn’t.

Answer:	Hello, I just responded yesterday saying that the party star was threaded for only 16g CO2 cartridges. I just re-looked at it and there are threads (1" diameter ) that are external that appear to look like you can thread on some type of adapter to the tap. I am somewhat new to brewing and have not used large external CO2 tanks, I have only used the smaller CO2 Cartridges when carbonate and serve beer. Hope this helps and sorry about the first post.

Answer:	Usually when we hear of this issue, it is because the siphon tube was not installed correctly so the air that you pump into the container just goes up the tube instead of pushing liquid through the tube. Answer:	Not sure. But you only should be using it to clean out the beer line. The last use is clear water so it should only need to be rinsed.

Cleaning your lines is an important step in dispensing great tasting draft beer

Beer lines require periodic cleaning because beer leaves behind yeast, protein, and mineral deposits that can affect the taste and smell of your beer. Mold can also find its way into your draft beer system fittings through exposure to air. If left untended, these factors can create a scale called calcium oxalate, commonly referred to as beer stone. If it is not completely removed in a cleaning process, it will leave an unsanitary surface that can harbor microorganisms which grow very quickly and affect the flavor and shelf life of your beer.

Lines should be cleaned on a regular basis to prevent stone build-up. We recommend that you clean your lines about every 6 weeks or every time you switch out a keg. Commercial applications require more frequent cleaning, depending on the beer system length. Systems less than 25' in length require bi-monthly cleaning, while longer systems should be cleaned following brewery recommendations and/or state guidelines.

Answer:	No. The filter is open on the top. The lid screws on the top of the pot with or without the filter. The only downside of the whole thing is it’s size. It’s small.

Answer:	I brew mine 24-72 hours, but there’s not a lot of difference in that range. Certainly no less than 12 though unless you don’t mind it coming out like regular coffee
Question:	Do you have to have coffee beans coarse ground for this or can you just buy a can of coffee at the grocery store
Answer:	I have used both (me grinding the beans & the coffee already ground in the bags). I like the Dark roast the best for cold brew. M.V.
Question:	As i understand it, when following the instructions, this makes COFFEE CONCENTRATE that must be diluted using water and/or milk. Correct
Answer:	This is a great brewer. I mix it up and let it sit on the kitchen counter for 24 hours. Once done brewing, I remove coffee grounds and put the brewer in the refrigerator. For my drink, I dilute with a little water, add 1/2 and 1/2 and half a pack of Sweet -n-Low for a 20oz drink. I use Starbucks "Kenya" coffee with a course ground. You can always adjust to your personal taste.

Question:	Ok if the Scoby absorbs some of the plastic due to leeching and the acidic tea then would each batch I make have plastic in it
Answer:	Hello! Thanks for the question and very happy to answer. Your SCOBY will not absorb any plastic. They come packaged in 4 mil poly bags that meet USDA and FDA specifications for food contact, are BPA Free, and a 100% virgin low density polyethylene (#4). Low Density Polyethylene is ideal for food and beverage storage (particularly those with high acidity like Kombucha) and can withstand temperatures between -148 to 176° F without leaching. Kombucha Cultures are packed and shipped in these plastic bags as they are the safest and healthiest for the culture and you.
Question:	I wasn't careful with instructions and covered my Kombucha culture with the lid over the cloth and rubber band for two full days, is this bad
Answer:	The culture should be fine if the lid was on for only two days, but be sure to finish the brew with the lid off and the cloth and rubber band still on.
Question:	When is the addition of flavors done? When steeping, during fermentation, prior to bottling
Answer:	Couple of options. After your first 7-30 day fermentation remove the SCOBY and start a second batch or place in a SCOBY "hotel". You can then add flavors to your fermented Kombucha and bottle and leave at room temp for a day or two (or longer if you want more carbonation). This step is called secondary fermentation as your Kombucha will continue to ferment. After that place the bottles in the fridge (slows down the carbonation process) and enjoy your home brew! You can also leave your kombucha in the gallon jar (after removing the SCOBY), add flavorings to the gallon jar and let that sit at room temp for a day or two and then bottle afterward if that method is easier for you.
Question:	I'm concerned about the amount of sugar that may be in the finished product. I have cancer, & I'm trying to avoid as much sugar as I can. Thoughts
Answer:	I've read that the amount of sugar that remains in the finished product is very little, as the sugar is what the scoby feeds on, so the longer it ferments, the lower the sugar content. I think that brewing your own vs. buying it will allow you to control the sugar content better because you can taste it throughout the fermentation process and decide how sweet you want it.

Question:	How long does the coffee have to be refrigerated to brew/readiness for serving
Answer:	Whether you leave it out or refrigerate, about 12 hours. This is true for cold brew coffee in general.
Question:	What are some of the best coffees to use for this product
Answer:	It really depends on what type of coffee you like. I like to grind my own coffee (usually medium or dark roast, sometime flavored) so I set my burr grinder to a coarse grind like you would use for french press coffee. For the coarse setting the 14 tablespoon recipe works. If you are using pre-ground coffee which is usually made for drip coffee makers and is a finer grind, you'll want to use less than 14 tablespoons or cut back the time you cold brew the coffee. If I am using coarse grind I usually take the grounds out at 24-48hours, if it's fine ground coffee I don't leave it more than 24 hours otherwise it is entirely too potent.
Question:	Anyone know the difference between the primula pace and primula burke
Answer:	The Pace is 51oz and the Burke is 40oz. If you look at the dimensions listed for both the Pace it's bigger.
