Answer:	I have now used mine for a year. Approximately 50 brews on a Turkey burner type heat source. The bottom is good as new. I've been very impressed with this kettle.

Answer:	Brass, as in the brass body if the ball valve, usually has small amounts of lead added to improve the "manufacturability" of the brass. Without lead, brass is a much more difficult material to work with. The original 1986 California Prop 65 law requires that ALL products containing ANY amount of lead be labeled. The Federal Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974 has had several amendments, including a tightened restriction on lead that is pending in 2020 (0.25 % I believe). But it's important to keep in mind that many reactive/toxic elements like water, oxygen, molybdenum, etc. in tiny amounts, are actually necessary in human diets. Lead is not presently known to be necessary, and is currently assumed to NOT be needed. However, that could change as additional research is done. Finally, in spite of the dangers that are omnipresent on our planet, you CAN replace any brass components with their stainless steel counterparts. They cost more, but a 100% stainless steel system would lower lead exposure to minimum practical levels.

Question:	Is it double-walled stainless steel
Answer:	No. It is single walled. If the reason you're asking about it being double walled is for temp control purposes that is not a problem. I upgraded to this unit from a Mash and Boil without the pump. The M&B is double walled (which you would think would be a plus) but I was fairly disappointed with the temp swings during the mash process. The heating element wouldn't kick on until the temps were 5+ degrees below the set temperature and then it would always overshoot the temperature by as much as 10 degree too high. The mash would have 10-20 degree temperature swings. This unit is much more percise and the recirculation also plays a big part of that. The temperature always seems to stay within a couple degrees over or under the set temperature. I would not be concerned with it only being single walled.
Question:	What temp does this heat the mash to? (What is the max temp
Answer:	It will boil your wort, so 212 degrees. You can set it lower for whatever temp you want your mash to be.
Question:	Which wort chiller would you recommend for this brewing system? What is the internal diammeter for the kettle
Answer:	Even though it's not listed in the discription or pictured, it actually came with a stainless wort chiller. Just the actual chiller itself. No hose or fittings to hook it up. The chiller is also fairly short. It appears to be 25 feet of 3/8 inch stainless pipe. It would not be very efficient for chilling a full 5-6 gallon boil. The inside dimensions of the kettle are 16 1/2 inches deep and 13 3/4 inches internal diameter if you want to use a more robust chiller. I have been using the recirculation pump to push the wort through my plate chiller post whirlpool with great results.
Question:	Can this be used as a temperature controlled fermenter
Answer:	No. The title on Amazon's site suggests this can be used as a fermenter but this is strictly an all-in-one brewing system. It's for the mash and boil only. Attempting to use it as a fermenter would be extremely risky. There is no seal on the lid nor are there any sort of clamps to hold the lid on. The lid just rests metal on metal with nothing sealing it. Fermenting in it would surely expose your beer to oxygen and possibly contaminants.

Answer:	GasOne only indicates that the material is stainless steel. I understand that 304 is the most commonly used but I can't verify. I would suggest contacting GasOne. I can verify it is not as rugged as some of the high price top of the line kettles available but it is sufficiently rugged and hasn't leaked withstanding the test of many batches of beer over 3 years. Still looks like new and in great shape so I hope to get at least another 3 years use out of it.

The Mash and Boil features double wall stainless steel construction that helps to insulate and conserve heat. If the customer is brewing in an extreme environment where this is not sufficient, we recommend wrapping the unit in foil batting that you should be able to find at a hardware store.
Question:	What size of plastic hosing would I need for transferring and such
Answer:	I use 3/8" ID silicone tubing to transfer wort from the kettle to the fermenter, but its a tight fit over the barbs on the spout and vinyl tubing probably wouldn't stretch enough. If I was using vinyl, I'd buy 1/2" ID tubing to make the transfer. Same goes for the removable recirc line used with the pump - 1/2" ID tubing would probably be the right call.

Question:	I just bought this item and when i was use the message e4 error dry appeared. what can i do to know this error code
Answer:	Four gallons of strike water takes about 20 minutes (depending on ambient temp) to reach 160 degrees. Once grains are cooked and sparging done, it takes about 15-20 minutes to reach boil.
Question:	How long does it take to heat 6 gal of water
Answer:	yes you can preset mash temp to your desired temp but there is a 6 degree swing for the thermostat. so it will drop to 143 then turn on and heat up to 155 then turn off. I'm very happy with mine it hold mash temp well because of the double wall design and if you insulated it you should be able to hold the temp you desire and not have to worry about the 6 degree swing on the termostat

Answer:	3/4" in diameter - it is rather short in length and may not be long enough depending on your cooler.
Question:	Does the thermometer tilt up
Answer:	3/5" are you serious? Can't anyone give a straight answer for whether it's the external threads or the internal threads that are 1/2" NPT? My gosh, I've been on here for over an hour looking for a SS bulkhead fitting(with lock nut and gaskets) with 1/2" NPT internal threads(I.D., female, etc) but none of these sellers want to put that info in the description or pics.
Question:	What is the diameter of the triclad base
Answer:	I puzzled over this question quite a bit myself, over thought it really. I did find some exact measurement for the hole needed and I honestly can't tell you anymore what that was. What you really need is a half inch punch. It makes the right size hole and it's way cleaner than trying to drill the hole. Punches may seem expensive but there were at least two hardware stores in my rural area that were willing to rent them out to me. Sorry I couldn't answer your question but if you're in the same situation I was in this may be more helpful anyway.
