The best water heaters on the road today, Suburban's line of water heaters includes high recovery gas, gas-electric and motor aid models with sizes and features to match the requirements of almost any RV. Heated water attacks all metals, but not porcelain. That's why Suburban uses a porcelain-lined, steel water heater tank with an a node rod to "absorb" the electrolytical action - just like your water heater at home. In fact, when a Suburban porcelain-lined tank is properly maintained, tank life may double or triple its three-year limited warranty, saving owners the cost of premature replacement. In addition, every Suburban tank is pressure tested twice during the manufacturing process to ensure its integrity. Fast recovery means more hot water and fewer cool water cycles. Six gallon Suburban gas water heaters feature 12,000 BTUH input and a recovery rate of 10.2 gallons per hour - that's the fastest in the industry.

Answer: | Call amazon . They will straighten it out |
Question: | Does this unit come with the 12v relay to operate the 110v power supply |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the recovery time if the 7 gallons of hot water is used |
Answer: | I have the 4 gallon tank and it is not too bad for the reheat |
Question: | Can I reduce the pipe's size from 3/4 in to 1/2 in without any negative effect on the unit |
Answer: | No harm to unit.....Max water flow will be reduced a little. |
Question: | Can i use this to replace a small rv hot water heater |
Answer: | Yes, but realize that it's electric and draws quite a few amps, most rv water heaters are propane. |
Question: | The Manual request for the ES8 a 20 Amp breaker and 12GA wire. The wattage however is 1440 with 12 Amps. Why then 20 Amp breaker and not |
Answer: | I would use a 20 amp circuit with 12 ga wire but there are no inrush concerns with a resistive load. A heating element does not have a higher initial current draw like a motor. It draws 1440 watts or 12 amps at 120v. Since 14 ga wire must be fused for 15 amps, this device by itself is already at 80% of the circuit’s capacity. |

Minimize Wait Time for Hot Water
Waiting for hot water at a sink located far from a primary heating source can be frustrating. Only having access to cold water from a sink is just not useful, and plumbing a hot water line to every sink in a home or business requires time and money. To get hot water where it’s needed, when it’s needed, a better solution is to use the Tronic 3000 T from Bosch: a point-of-use electric mini-tank heater. This heater can supplement a primary water heating source, or be used under a single sink. In fact, the Bosch Tronic 3000 T can be used for three different applications: as a sole water heating source for a single sink, as a supplement to an existing heater located far from the sink, and as a buffer installed in-line with tankless water heaters that experience intermittent cold water, also known as 'cold water sandwiching'. No matter the configuration, there’s minimal stand-by loss from this premium mini-tank water heater.
Product description
All Atwood water heaters feature a patented "through tube" combustion chamber, utilizing the pilot flame to help maintain water temperature rather than losing this heat energy into the atmosphere. All units are lightweight and compact, with all controls accessible from the front for easy servicing. Many Atwood water heater models feature a heat exchange system in which the water from the vehicle's engine is piped to the water heater and then returned to the engine's cooling system. This option allows the water in the heater storage tank to be heated by the waste heat from the engine while driving allowing conservation of L.P. gas. All units come complete with door. Multiple protection features - Problems are prevented with the high temperature limit switch, thermostat, and pressure and temperature relief valve. An externally sealed combustion chamber keeps the outside of the unit clean.
- Capacity is 6 gallon liquid propane gas

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it necessary to connect an expansion tank to this heater (for safety purposes)? It states something to that effect in the user manual |
Answer: | The expansion tank for this heater is not required. Most people already have these installed in their homes but if not then it would be Ok without it as there is a pressure relief valve on top if something happened. GlobalTowne is an authorized Bosch distributor. |
Question: | would this be able to supply a shower |
Answer: | A standard flow shower head is around 2.5 gallons per minute. A low flow head is around 1.5 gallons per minute. The recovery rate for a 90 degree temperature rise is 6.8 gallons per hour! So even the 7.5 gallon unit would only provide 4 minutes of shower time before the temp dropped off dramatically. (even at the low flow rate..) |
Question: | Can be used "in-line with a large hot water source"? Would it help a large bathtub that runs out of hot water before it gets full from main tank |
Answer: | If your bathtub is bigger than your main heater tank, this unit isn't going to do much for you. It will add 2.5, 4, or 7 gallons to the capacity of your main tank, depending on which Bosch unit you buy. The 7 gallon unit requires a specially wired circuit. You will also get a little bit of lukewarm water that was in the line between your main heater and the Bosch unit. Unless your main tank is awfully small and your bathtub massive, the 4 gallon unit should work for you. Maybe a demand type thankless heater in your bathtub hot water feed would be a better choice, but be careful to size it properly for your desired flow rate and temperature rise. Also a tankless is likely to require special wiring. |
Question: | When this heater is connected to the hot water line, what happens with the cold water that was sitting in the pipes |
Answer: | When the tap is opened, the hot water in the unit flows out. The colder water that was sitting upstream of the unit, enters the unit to be heated. If the tap remains open, the newly heated water flows out, being replaced eventually, (depending on the distance to the main water heater), with the water from the main water heater. You will probably set the unit temperature to equal the main water heater temperature, if you want to keep a constant temperature, but other scenarios are possible. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Mine has a electric connection but replacement doesnt why |
Answer: | The Door was included in my purchase (about a month ago) Although I had to return the Atwood due to I ordered the wrong size 10 gallon. My opening to my 5th wheel (2005 Excel limited) is for a 6 gallon Atwood. |
Question: | My old heater had a 110v themostat control glued to the top of it. I didnt see any adhesive included with the new tank. What should I use |
Answer: | Dometic thanks you for your question. Yes, the XT models come with the mixing valve and heating element installed. For further information, contact our support team at [email protected]. |
Question: | To get the 2 metal rings that hold the hear exchange tubes on, do you have to cut them off |
Answer: | Dometic thanks you for your question. A heat exchanger uses the RV engine to heat the water while you are going down the road. For further information, contact our support team at [email protected]. |
Question: | The listing states 'tank only' but it pictures a tank with the insulation shroud. Is the insulated jacket included |
Answer: | No problem. I took out my old Atwood 10 gallon heater and installed the new heater. The old heater had heat transfer piping and the new heater did not. I tied these two pipes together so the anti freeze could continue to circulate. Also the old heater element was controlled directly by a switch at the control panel. The new heater element is controlled by a relay mounted in the heater. I had to run 12 volts from the control panel to control the relay. |

User questions & answers
Question: | how long is this element |

Question: | Will this fit a 2016 keystone premier bullet 6 gallon atwood water heater serial number |
Answer: | Yes! It comes with a formed Styrofoam insulating jacket that doubles as shipping material and insulation when installed. It will fit in the cutout occupied by the old tank, and provides MUCH better thermal insulation as well as physical support. |
