Answer:	You have a good eye. At its center, the inside height of the rail along the long side is 1 1/8". While at the very corners it is 7/8". The top taper of the side rail (from 1 1/8" down to 7/8") starts about 2" from the corner. BTW, the inside dimensions of the tray's bottom is 11 11/16" by 16". Hope this helps.

Answer:	This table and chairs was purchased for our granddaughter who is now 12. It does not mar easily, quite the opposite. I do not recall the finish, but I know it is a well-built set that has been used by 4 children.

Answer:	It’s more of a grayish weathered look with some spots lighter than others. If you want actual white wash this isn’t it. If you want a “weathered” look this is definitely that. They are perfect for what I wanted.
