Bodum Assam Tea Press with Stainless Steel Filter

The tea press utilizes the same brewing system as the French press to allow for full control of the tea steeping process. Once your preferred coloring and strength is reached, you simply press down the plunger and seal the tea leaves into the bottom part of the filter that has no holes. This makes the brewing process stop with one easy push and you can discard or re-use the tea leaves after you have enjoyed your beverage. Black Tea

One of the most known varieties of tea is black tea. It is made from the tea plant camellia sinensis/assamica and amongst the most popular in Europe and North America. After harvest, the tea leafs are allowed to oxidize to the fullest, so that the freshly plucked leafs slowly turn brownish and darker. Green Tea

The freshly plucked leafs of the tea plant camellia sinensis must be heating directly after harvest, to prevent the leaves from oxidization and becoming black tea. Question:	Where is this French Prench made in
Answer:	You *can* get these apart to clean, but be very careful. The most obvious way is to lift the top of the handle to "unhook" it. That's not the easiest way, but if you have the strength it's the safest. I find it easier to remove the base by turning upside down. Looking at the bottom you want to push the beaker with your thumbs while holding the plastic base with your finger tips. The plastic will be more flexible if you soak it in hot soapy water. The dish soap in the hot water will help it slide out. It may pop out suddenly and is very breakable. I always re-assemble base 1st, then snap the handle over the edge of the beaker. (I've had a few of these. Some fit quite tightly others are fairly easy to remove.)

Bodum Brazil French Press Coffee Maker

The French press coffee maker is the simplest of all brewing systems, where coarsely ground beans meet hot water right off the boil. The right temperature (92–96 °C, 195–205 °F) brings the optimal extraction power for the essential oils in the beans to develop their full flavor profile in just four minutes. An easy press on the plunger locks the grinds at the bottom of the glass carafe and stops the brewing process.

Step 1

For each 4-ounce cup, put 1 rounded tablespoon or 1 Bodum scoop of coarse-ground coffee into the pot.

Step 2

Pour hot (not boiling) water into the pot. Leave a minimum of 1 inch of space at the top. Stir with a plastic spoon.

Step 3

Place the plunger unit on top of the pot. Do not press down. Let the coffee brew for 4 minutes.

Answer:	The plastic is not specifically labeled “microwave safe” and there are metal components, so I would not risk heating this press in the microwave. It is better to heat your water in an electric kettle or on the stove top. If you need to use a microwave, heat the water in a microwave-safe mug, measuring cup, or pot before pouring it into the press.
Question:	Doesn't the tea gets bitter after staying in the teapot for so long
Answer:	Hard plastic...just like the rest of the unit around the glass

Answer:	Boil water. Put 2 tablespoons ground coffee in the pot. Cool the water a few seconds until it stops bubbling. Add the water and take the plunger and press down all the way. Make sure to put the lid on tight. I let it brew 10 minutes. Enjoy.
