Answer:	I think the warming plate gets up to about 180F per the readout. Whatever the temperature actually is my tea stays very hot. Not hot enough to burn my lips or mouth, but hot enough to feel freshly made. If I leave it on the warming plate for a while when there is only about half and inch of beverage left it does get a little too hot to drink comfortably though, but that’s to be expected. I bet if I turned the temp down when I’m nearing the end of my tea it would be just fine.

Answer:	The hot plate portion is only 3 1/2 inches in diameter, if your candle bottom is any larger it won't make contact with the heat.

Answer:	The temperature is 104 degrees. I do not believe it deform your cup. If you place the cup in the dishwasher you will have no issues on this setting.

Answer:	I use the Vobaga warmer to maintain temperature of coffee in Corelle 11 oz. mugs which have an indent on the bottom. It does a great job.

Answer:	NO!!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! This can only be used with ceramic, metal, or other heat proof cups. There is a warning on the slip in the box that states this. It has 3 heat settings and even on the coolest (lukewarm at best), I wouldn't place a plastic cup of any kind on it. This is one of the best coffee warmers I've ever owned. I can even keep my soup hot on it on the highest setting.

Answer:	The inside is stainless too and the mug is one of the best things I have ever purchased.
Question:	is this spill proof ? doe sit have a slide/lock-in lid ? also can I plug this in my car or into my laptop/desktop
Answer:	Definitely spill resistant. Very good at not spiliing. Plug it into your car it works great. Your laptop/desktop will not have enough power. If you buy an AC adapter make sure output is at least 1 amp. I bought a 500 milliamp (.5 amp) and it wasn't enough power.
Question:	How many watts does this use
Answer:	Aprox. 12 Watts or one amp at 12vdc. Most 12 volt receptacles in cars will supply 15 amps or 180 watts.
Question:	Is this plastic on the lid BPA free
Answer:	I'm not sure, but I have had two of these and both times the cord came apart at the plug. Within 2 months of use.

Question:	Is the mug itself dishwasher safe
Answer:	Ember mugs are defnitely NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. The bottom of the mug houses the electronics, battery and heating element. You can wash the mug by hand. Wipe at least the bottom dry.
Question:	Does this come with the charging coaster
Answer:	Yes, it does come with the flat horizontal coaster. Some call it a charger plate. It charges the battery in the cup. It works. Even if all else fails, that platter will keep your coffee/tea at the right temperature even if the battery in the cup itself should fail in the future. I have the 4 oz and not problems. My bro has the smaller size and says that it is not accurate within 1 degree. So I don't know how he measures this, but this is the only bad thing I have heard about this cup. Oh, yeah, it is not cheap.

Answer:	Unfortunately it doesn't come with a lid. Ember should at least offer matched covers for each of their open mug sizes. I cover my 14oz ember using the top from the bottlebottle 20 oz tumbler https://bottlebottle.com/collections/tumbler/products/20-oz-insulated-tumbler-bottlebottle-stainless-steel-double-wall-coffee-travel-mug?variant=11350877896819 (if the link doesn't work, google search "bottlebottle 20oz tumbler"). It's a tight fit, but it DOES work and keeps the coffee piping hot for much longer, without a scum forming on the surface of the coffee (if you use milk in your coffee.) The top for the 30 oz bottlebottle tumbler available on Amazon does NOT work. It is much too huge. Hope this helps.
Question:	Where can I get a lid for this ember mug
Answer:	I think this mug is for home use, not travel when you would need a lid. Since the heat is being maintained by the heater, a lid is unneeded. If you want lid, you can buy their Ember travel mug.
