Answer:	It seems leak proof. It has a silver lining that has worked so far. The top doesn't seal though so you need to keep it upright. There are holes at the ends of the zipper on each side of the bag. That is my least favorite part of the bag, but my 15 year old has used it all year for school and likes it.
