Answer:	Java are some of the top of the line reeds. They are used for smoother more controlled sound, typically for jazz. Rico are good for beginners, but vandoren and vandoren java have better sound quality control, especially as you begin to advance in music capabilities, experience and broadening styles.

Answer:	love these reeds. they are indestructible!! good for me who has only been playing two years. i guess they are unfiled, have to see what a filed reed looks like.

Answer:	My STM is a vintage model worked on to be at .107 (7*). I like how these reeds sound and play better than the ZZs and Javas. 2 1/2 are lighter, brighter and quick. 3 1/2 are darker and not as quick. I tend to use 3s because I want to slap it on and go. Of course, YMMV.

Answer:	No. The traditional reeds are harder than the javas. A 3.5 traditional is equivalent to a 4 java. However, make sure to purchase your feed according to your mouthpiece facing. Different mouthpieces need different reed strengths.

Answer:	It should be returnable as most everything from Amazon is. But, double check to be sure. We actually got this set because it is the same set we received as a wedding gift 15 years ago and are missing many pieces due to our children. The new set is nice, and the only difference I found between the old and new sets is the construction. The new set has less material used therefore making the pieces a little thinner with a little less "heavy duty" feel. Still a nice though.

Answer:	As owners of this set we received as as a wedding gift almost 15 years ago, we purchased another set because we have lost many pieces due to our children, and I personally like it. The style, the feel, it is nice. As the old and new sets are both made of stainless steel, the old set never rusted, and the new set hasn't shown any signs of rust yet. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that the new set is not as heavy duty, or thick, as the older set. They use a little less material, as many manufacturers do with their products, than they have in the past. However, this is still a nice set of silverware and I am satisfied.

Nickel gives some flatware it's superior shine, intended to mimic new Silver flatware. Nickel is expensive and a major contributor to the price of flatware. The difference between 18/8 and 18/10 Flatware is nonexistant; steelmakers sell Grade 304 Stainless Steel to be made into tableware. It has 18% Chromium and from 8 to 10% Nickel. Grade 305 Stainless has a MINIMUM of 10% Nickel and generally used in Pots & Pans.

Answer:	I love it. At first, I was hesitant to put it in the dishwasher, so I hand washed, and dried them, then one day, I thought, what the heck, use the dishwasher. they came out beautiful. I bought this new design true rose (big rose) version off Amazon for the large serving pieces along with additional settings. While I prefer the original knife design (new design is thin and less balanced), the big rose set does compliment my big rose design well and makes a pretty table. Please look at the proportions of the rose to the rest of the design to be sure you see clearly the exact size rose design you want.
