Answer:	I've used the 10'6 Medium/Heavy rod and it works really well for all types of lures and bait. I've jigged 5oz lures in the Cape Cod Canal with hard running currents but it also has great rod tip flexibility for good top water action for poppers. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I only use my hands to snell hooks no matter what size. If they are too small buy a pair of 3X magnification reading glasses to bring the process to your eyes better. I just used the vice for tying sea bass rigs and porgy rigs with some fashaboo and one of the florescent colored ( Pink or Lime Green) to give the dropper loops more pizzazz... I hope this helps....
