Answer:	If you have the money and don’t mind spending it, it’s a fantastic lightweight flipper. Good for small fillets and crispy salmon type dishes. Personally I try to search out the ‘best’ of such items, that are essentially tools and are within reasonable budget. Parting with $50-$100 doesn’t bug me. I’m no millionaire by even the furthest stretch of the imagination. But when it comes to these small items, i’ll pay the premium. That said, it’s a flipper, it works great it looks great I haven’t conducted a side by side. America’s Test Kitchen has and they deemed it best in class. They seem to be pretty honest and thorough. When I received it I must say I was disappointed to see it’s not a full tang construction. The spatula portion ends just past the last rivet. Really though this has zero bearing on how it performs and in reality there is less area for water to get between the scales. If you’ve ever seen an old knife that looses it’s scales..... it’s pretty gross. For a tool of this kind though it’ll see less use then your usual utensils. Worth it? Sure, for me it is.

I saw where someone says theirs is rusting...well, it's not meant to sit near or in water. Mine looks great, and I can tell it will last forever...Calphalon quality!

My husband works in construction so it always comes home covered in dirt and is left outside in the Arizona heat for 8+ hours a day and even has been dropped quite a few times. It is a great case and can withstand a lot. When it comes time to washing it any dirt on the outside and any food bits or sauce on the inside that end up stuck to it, come off very easily. The silverware is great as well, very heavy duty!!

**Use & Care**

Wash Ironwood Gourmet products in warm, soapy water and thoroughly rinse with clean water. Do not soak. To dry, prop up off of counter to allow all surfaces to air dry evenly. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher.



After drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with Ironwood Butcher Block Oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.

All Ironwood products should be washed in warm soapy water and dried immediately. Ironwood products should not be left to soak in water or stored in high humidity environments. This will cause them to warp, which may be permanent. It is important to oil these pieces on a consistent basis to preserve the natural luster and ensure they do not crack.
