Your board should be use with the pit side up. If you ordered the round cutting board (#39.99), it looks like you got the wrong one. Or Berard (if it has the Berard-brand sticker) is producing them from Albania too but without the oil waxing. If it doesn't look like the olive wood, request the exchange because even for the olive wood it's quite overprices. You can use it "as is" with the slightly rounded side up. I bought it as a wooden insert to the glass cheese dome and have attached 3 small white rubber "legs" to use the board with the flat side up. |

That probably makes them more rigid and durable. I've had mine for 1.5 years now and we love them! |
